  • Added native integration with SKK Commonwealth of Decay ,  no specific patch file needed.
  • Farming animations added to g1 / g2 synth actors that are added by this mod
  • Vanilla rescue dialog should now work for any captives added by this mod, the 'R'ecruit prompt can still be used if desired.
  • Some minor changes to the attire on some NPCs to better fit storylines, and complement some newly added mods.
  • The Sentry bot at the robotics disposal site can now be recruited (if spawned after this mod is installed)

Updated 03/06/2024 (V4.1)
Added another compatibility patch for SKK Commonwealth of Decay specifically for the Mechanist's Lair. 
  • The patch will auto complete the associated quests (A New Threat, HeadHunting, and Restoring Order) so that Isabel Cruz will function correctly as a settler. The SKK mod opens the Lair but if the above quest lines were not complete, Isabel does not respond correctly.
  • The patch also provides Jezebel's head so you can build Jezebel if you wish.
  • Currently the player will receive the experience points for completing these quests.  I am looking at adding an option where the player can choose to get / not get the experience points. I prefer to start a new OpenWorld game with more experience, but that may not be preferred by others.


Updated 5/27/2023 (v4.0)
  • Repackaged and re-released as an ESL tagged ESP.  Please read the Version 4.0 Upgrade Considerations article as the old versions are not compatible with the new ESL tagged versions.  The ESL tagged ESP will be the only version supported moving forward.

  • The mod no longer contains the recruit perk and logic.   RL_Recruit_Framework is now required which provides the recruitment perk and logic.  See that mod's description for details.

Version 2.4


There were a few complaints about recruited NPCs added by the mod disappearing after a period of time.  I discovered that persistence was not set on NPCs added by this mod.  This has been corrected in v 2.4.

If you are not seeing the above issue, I recommend you continue with your currently installed version.  Install v 2.4 when starting a new game.  I cannot predict what impact might occur when making this change to an in-progress game.  If you elect to install v 2.4 into an existing game please take the following precautions:

  •     Create and note the date of your saved game before installing v 2.4
  •     If you encounter issues you can then revert to the prior version you had installed then resume your game from a save containing the prior version.



Version 1.2

If you are running a version prior to v 1.2 you can simply install the latest version.


If you are not using SKK Workshop Utilities you may / may not see the issue described below.

There is a conflict in v 1.2 between the 2 animals added and SKK Workshop Utilities.   Once the animals are recruited via SKK Workshop Utilities, they gain workshop attributes animals should not have i.e. command-able, and able to be assigned to supply routes.   This does not necessarily break anything,  if you are ok with animals having these attributes you do not need to upgrade . 

This bug will also occur with other workshop animals if you dismiss or  recruit the animal via SKK Worksthop Utilities.  So best to not use SKK Workshop Utilities with any animal assigned to a settlement.

Since the animals were removed in v 1.21, they should be removed from your save prior to upgrading to a newer version.  Follow the steps below to remove the 2 animals prior to upgrading.

If you have discovered Shad (dog) and Bessy (brahmin):

Open the console and click on each.  Confirm the following ref id's are displayed:
  • Shad xx0044ec
  • Bessy xx004c89

where xx is the plugin slot for the esp in your load order

  •  with the refid displayed type 'markfordelete' into the console
  • repeat the prior step for the other refid

Save your game
Exit the game then update the mod to the latest version


If you haven't found these animals in game, complete the following steps below:

From the game console type the following commands:


  • Help Bessy 4
Note the 1st 2 [xx] digits of the id that is returned, this is the load slot the plugin occupies in your load order.

  • Prid xx0044ec
  • Markfordelete
  • Prid xx004c89
  • Markfordelete

Save your game
Exit the game then update the mod to the latest version.
