This is a description of the holotape's menu entries. This might or might not be up to date...

Keep in mind that due to engine limitations, most of these options are not available on the Pip-Boy.

Top Level

  • Load Current Settlement:
    Loads the settlement you are currently in. This might fail if not in a settlement on in a dead zone. Leads to Settlement Overview.
  • Load Last Settlement:
    If you loaded a settlement before, it can be loaded again from where. Leads to Settlement Overview.
  • Load Other Settlement:
    Displays a list of all settlements. Select an entry to load the corresponding settlement. Leads to Settlement Overview.
  • Settings:
    Displays the settings menu:
    • Detection Settings:
      • Residential without Bed ON/OFF
      • Inconsistent Ownership ON/OFF
      • Commercial without marker: ON/OFF
      • Missing plan: ON/OFF
      • Unowned: ON/OFF
      • Unbuilt: ON/OFF
      • Unpowered: ON/OFF
      • No spawned objects: ON/OFF
      • Wrong Type Keyword: ON/OFF
      • Unpowered objects: ON/OFF
      • Unrotated objects: ON/OFF
    • Software Settings:
      • Show Unowned Workshops: ON/OFF
        Whenever settlements which you do not own appear under "Load Other Settlement"
      • Call To Furniture: ON/OFF
        Whenever calling a settler to a plot should attempt to place them into a furniture object
      • Call Owner Bell Recipe: ON/OFF
        If enabled, you can build a bell which calls the owner of the closest plot to it.
      • Sort Settlements: ON/OFF
        (Requires F4SE) Sorts the list under "Load Other Settlement" alphabetically if enabled.
  • Clear Markers:
    Removes all quest markers placed by ASAM Maintenance Software.
  • Help:
    Displays some information


Settlement Overview
  • Plot Tools
    • > Current Plot List
      Displays a list of plots. Contents depend on the following options. This option will not be present if the list is empty. Selecting a plot leads to Plot Details.
    • Load Problematic Plots
      Scans plots for issues, generates a list of those where issues were found. This can be configured under Detection Settings.
    • Load All Plots
      Simply loads all plots.
    • Load Plots by Type
      Loads all plots of a certain types. You must return back manually by pressing the TAB key.
    • Rescan Current List
      Reruns the scan for issues on the currently loaded list. Only plots which still have issues will remain in it.
    • Refresh Current Plots
      Refreshes the plots in current list. This might only run after you exit the terminal.
    • Mark Current Plots
      Place quest markers on all plots in the current list.
    • Clear Markers
      Clears quest markers placed by ASAM Maintenance Software from all plots.
  • Settler Tools
    • > Current Settler List
      Displays a list of settlers. Contents depend on the following options. This option will not be present if the list is empty. Selecting a plot leads to Settler Details.
    • Load Problematic Settlers
      Scans settlers for issues, generates a list of those where issues were found. Currently, the only detectable issues is when a settler owns more than one Residential Plot, or more than one job plot.
    • Load All Settlers
      Simply loads all settlers.
    • Refresh Assignment Status
      Attempts to fix the unemployed/homeless keywords required for ASAM Vision
    • Call Homeless
      Summons all homeless settlers to your position.
    • Call Unemployed
      Summons all unemployed settlers to your position.
    • Send Everyone Home
      Sends all settlers to their Residential Plots or beds.
    • Send Everyone to Work
      Sends all settlers to their job plots or work objects.
  • Settlement Details
    Displays the ratings for Food, Water, Power, Defense, Happiness and Population. If a City Plan is used, Name, Level and City Leader are also displayed.

      • Allow/Forbid Visitors
        Enables/Disables SimSettlement visitors
      • Take Ownership
        If the settlement is unowned, you can take ownership here
      • Destroy Settlement
        The same as using the "Remote Selfdestruct Sequence" from SimSettlements.
      • Teleport to Workshop
        (If cheating enabled) Teleports you to the workbench.


Plot Details
Displays plot type, blueprint name, plot level, name of the owner, and the results of the issues scan.
  • > MORE
    • ASAM Sensor Menu
      Allows you to remotely access the plot's menu, as if you were to activate it's sensor.
    • Refresh Plot
      Refreshes the plot
    • Summon Owner
      Summons the plot's owner to you
    • (Un)Mark Plot
      Adds/Removes a quest marker to the plot
    • Fix Bed
      If this is a residential plot without bed, this attemts to fix it.
    • Fix Plot Type
      If the plot has a wrong type keyword, this attempts to fix it.
    • Invest in Plot
      (Requires Throw Money At SimSettlements) shows the "Investment Plan" menu, allowing you to spend caps to upgrade a plot
    • Destroy Plot
      Destroys the plot, similar to how the Settlement Selfdestruct Sequence would do it
    • > Show Contained Objects
      Creates a list of all objects spawned by the plot. Selecting one leads to Object Details.
    • Destroy Contained Objects
      Shows a menu allowing you to destroy all objects spawned by a plot, and optionally to refresh the plot right away.





Settler Details
Displays the settler's name, race, sex, employment and residential status, and start and endpoint for provisioners.
  • Call Settler
    Summons the settler to you
  • (Un)Mark Settler
    Places a quest marker onto the settler or removes it
  • Request Name
    (Requres What's Your Name) Generates a random name for the settler
  • Reassign to Workshop
    Unassigns the settlers from the workshop and assigns them back. This might or might not fix certain issues...
  • > Show Property
    Shows a list of objects owned by the settler. If the settler is assigned to a plot, this will NOT display the plot-contained objects also owned by the settler.Selecting one leads to Object Details.
  • > More
    Allows to select whenever the settlers is commandable, can be moved to other settlements, or be set up as provisioner.


Object Details
Displays the object's name, owner, powered status. If applicable, also the parent plot or the selected blueprint.
Note: if the object is a plot, this will NOT be identical to Plot Details.
  • Unassign
    Unassigns this object from it's owner, if applicable.
  • (Un)Mark Object
    Places or removes a quest marker onto this object.
