This was a pretty neat mod, although I do wish it started a quest instead of being unmarked. I completely forgot I had this installed until I saw the "Metal Box with a Twist" around the Corvega Factory and was frantically looking in the FO wiki about what it was LOL. Once you go to Super Duper Mart to start the hunt it's pretty solvable without a tutorial onwards (unless you hate Math).

Also, I've yet to play the next parts, but will link them here for the other users since the ones in the description lead to a dead end:

Can anyone tell me a full detailed walkthrough? or at least give me a hint on how to get the inertial microchamber?

Early 2023 review: This is the first entry in the most famous collection of quests mods from Puce Moose for Fallout 3 which inspired hundreds of other authors to create quests in the similar style. Going from one lead/clue to another, you have a chance to discover pre-war company named "Tiger" that was also developing experimental type of weapon.
This type of quest is unique in it's format, at least for the time of initial release. No quest markers and only a small hints of what you need to do or find next.
In this comment section I see many people that really exaggerated difficulty of puzzles in mod, but it's not that hard. Solution will come naturally without deep-thinking if you're going to pay attention to notes and terminal logs that you read. And this one "algebra puzzle" can be solved by 5th grader or you also have option to complete task by trial/error method.
But main advantage of this mod is well-done writing and light humour in the style of Fallout series. Many other modders tried to surpass Puce Moose's work but very few achieved this level of writing interesting, but also emotional story. Emotional not in the sense of feeling tragedy or fear, but in a way that you yourself can see similarities in situations which Puce Moose presented and our mundane life. That way you feel more connected to characters, even though you never had a chance to meet them in person because they are already dead.
This was a great start and very strong project that influenced all modding scene of Fallout 3 and gave a standard for other creators in narrative category.
As for compatibility and bugs, mod works perfectly fine and won't conflict with any major Fallout 3 mod on Nexus (D.C. Interiors Project, AWOP, Another Interior Mod and etc.).
Should you try this mod in 2023? Yes, don't be afraid looking through other comments and thinking you won't solve puzzles in this mod. They are easy, and your reward will be way more satisfying if you complete them without cheating. Don't miss this chance.
"A Note Easily Missed" is "old, but gold" type of mod and aged very well.

The note tells you where to go, the writer said they're going to Super Duper Mart.

Great mod - loved the voice acting. Didn't like the gnome thing since it was pages long and I don't much like reading ..or gnomes. I just cheated there lol. But the rest was easy enough through trial and error. Me no likey da math. I like searching every room, nook and cranny so this mod was perfect for me. It was nice to have to think for once and do without quest markers. Onto 'An Evening with Mr. Manchester' then!

    Interesting mod!

Having finished it (er, I think?), I have quite a few spoileriffic qustions and was wondering if there was a definitive walkthrough or guide somewhere to see what (if anything) I missed.  Does such a guide exist?

Answering a question from eight months ago: if you're still interested, I recorded a walkthrough of this mod:

Algebra? Why? I was gonna say the only thing I've heard people make fun of for being boring & pointless more than algebra is having to do your own taxes but then I remembered that that involves algebra.

Even the DMV doesn't get made fun of for being boring more than algebra. At least, fish aren't involved this time. That was a deal breaker.

I like this mod but, like 99% of people, I hate algebra. I'm above average at it & I still despise it. At least, it's better than geometry.

Time to completely break the flow & immersion of a fun videogame by tediously looking for the solution on the internet because it's better than looking for a calculator or using a pen & paper.

Edit: Now that I've found the solution by tediously searching on the internet, I'm gonna put it in a "note to self" so I can write it down every time I'm about to play this mod again.

For anyone who's wondering: It's actually pretty easy to solve, once you've realized you aren't supposed to include the year-end bonus. Took me about a minute. Just dotted down the name of the lady in the example, years worked, her ratings in each area and looked at the terminal again to get the amounts to add/subtract for each and did the math.

Sorry you had to go through all that trouble... since the quizzes don't lock you out for wrong guesses, you can simply make a guess and if it's wrong, just start the quiz over again and make another guess. No need to make things harder than they are.

I mean, I get where you're coming from, but you're essentially whining about being unable to do a very basic math problem for middle school children. The only part that's genuinely tedious is having to cycle through the entire thing to see the affects of the performance adjustments.

It's more of a story problem then algebra really.

This is one of those mods I wish were converted to TTW. Indeed, the entire series needs to be converted as such.

You have to wonder what it must have been like working at that place. Finding that someone pinched one off in the sink and used an industrial machine to make cookies, putting bloody bandages back in the 1rst aid box - among all the other wacky things going on. Then there's the zealous and obsessive Frank G. skulking around and going to people homes and interfering with their private lives. There's no indication they were at work when the bombs fell but I wonder what they were doing when it happened. There is a skeleton I found out in front of Gary's house but I don't know if that was him or his wife.

Something I was always wondering about... Who is that in poster on the wall (the one that is supposed to be Frank G.)?
