The only problem I have is that the secure chest seems incompatible with Quick Loot, another favorite mod of mine. Is there a chance for a compatibility patch, or, directions on how to make these mods compatible?
Unfortunately the way the entire Secure Chest system works is a hard incompatibility with Quick Loot. The Secure Chest is not the container that you see. When you try to activate it, a script actually activates a hidden chest. That way you get the same central container every time, no matter where you are. There is no way to get Quick Loot to see that container instead.
As a secondary side-effect, the fake containers you see and try to interact with also have a randomized loot table. So Quick Loot will show you random things in them. This happens with all of the Secure Chests in the Enderal world. That could be patched out for it to have an empty loot list but any existing saves would be unaffected. And changing the record for this mod would potentially break saves that are already running it. So I won't be doing that.
I wanted to try this mod, but unfortunately Enderal does not start after clicking on "Start Enderal" in the launcher. When I uncheck the mod in "Data Files" it starts as usual.
I have installed it with Vortex, and it says "Missing Masters" The check says it depends on "Update.esm" which is missing.

The display in "Data Files" did not change however and the game still doesn't start (the skse_loader window is displayed briefly, then this window and the launcher disappears) I'll try to embed a screenshot, if it doesn't work, here is the link: https://imgur.com/a/erW3QoK
Edit: I guess the embedded link doesn't work. Your other mod works fine, even with the error message.
All I can really suggest is manually looking to verify that the Update.esm exists in the Enderal\Data folder. It should be there as it is required by the game to run. I just tested on another machine which never had Enderal installed before. Downloaded through Steam, and then installed Vortex to test install the mod. I receive no such error that Update.esm is missing. So I can only conclude that the file is missing off your system which it should not be.
I'd like to apologize. It seems I misunderstood what was happening in your situation. It seems I mispacked the BSA which was causing the game not to start. I've uploaded a new copy that should resolve your issue.

The options will be a menu that opens when you activate the candle in the Akropolis.
