How to install: (steam version)
1 > Go to the root of dying light 2 - Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dying Light 2\ph\source
2 >Open data0.pak (download winrar if you don't have it)
3 > Once inside data0.pak, open the folder named "scripts"
4 > Next find the folder named "progression" and open it. - you should see 3 files (progressionbuckets.scr, progressionactions.scr, legendlevelconfig.scr)
5 > Now open the progression folder i provided inside of the mod. - drag and drop the 3 provided files into the games progression folder.
666 > Done. (This is the only way it will work. using a .pak format gets no result. This method works instantly)
(essentially you're just replacing the original files within the progression folder with mine. Don't over think this.) How to uninstall: - Verify your game files to REMOVE the mod.
Epic Games: I'm sure the mod would work for you too. You just need to find your source folder Dying Light 2\ph\source, and then start at step 2 of the install instructions above.

Just one question: For your "regular" (i.e. not xtreme) version, how long would you say it'd take to get to 250 maxed Legend? I've never played the game before and am unsure whether the x-treme one could spoil the story experience too much, but also whether the regular version would still require too much grind, which I hate like hell, cause grind isn't content.
Use the regular one as the "xtreme" version will max your level in 15-30mins. Regular is basically a x5 boost. the first couple levels you'll fly through then it balances out as higher levels require more xp to progress to the next level.
For those not getting it to work... This mod only works if you're offline (As far as I am aware). Go to top left of the Steam window, click on 'Steam' and click 'Go Offline...', run the game and it should work.
If you're struggling with the installation... You do NOT need Winrar, I used 7zip and it worked perfectly. Right click on 'data0.pak' and hover over 'open with', then click 'open archive' and then go into scripts, find and delete the original progression file and put the modded progression file in the scripts file. That is all you need to do (+ running the game in offline mode).
Thanks for making this mod, great mod, jumped on a ventilator and went from Legend level 0 to 300 in a split second lol.
well, i had some problems with installing it and- it still doesnt work? i had replaced the files but i guess did something wrong, some1 here who wants to show me that on dc ? plz
You have to go offline on Steam, top left of the Steam window it says Steam, click on it and it says 'Go Offline...", click it and then run the game. <<<<<<<<<< Boom profit
yeah this wont work online because youre physically changing game files and not in a traditional mod format. TBH theres 0 reason to have this mod installed while online. 0 benefit. it takes literally seconds to max your level lol
yes i do im using epic games btw ive tried making the pak file into a zip file but it corrupted it and when i try to paste something into the zip file it just creates a path edit: i figured it out
I do not know where the progression folder is. Is it named something else? Also I am on Epic Games if that changes anything.
Edit: I managed to do it. I realized that I originally had trouble opening the datapak. Also for anyone who has the same problem (probably just a minority) but right click the datapak0 file and click open with WinRar Archiver. Then just scroll down and find the "progression" folder. Follow the instructions here: just save it somewhere, delete it and drag and drop the modded/new progression file into the WinRar program.

It can work online but only when there isn't an event, so going offline is 100% the best method.
I just prefer WinRAR haha, but yeah 7zip works fine too.
