Thank you for this. I just began using it and I believe I caught it in time because I happened to peep the comments... hopefully lol. Someone on a different mod (jump mod or something) complained that they got adware from it back in like 2017, so I'd say the virustotal ping has merit. How is this nexusmods post/upload still up? >:C
I used the original from fluffy and he includes batch files to extract and repack so you don't need a GUI anyway. It does it for you nice and easy! And more updated. (drag onto the dd batch. ddo is for dragons dogma online)
It can therefore also be a false positive If you click on the check mark at the top left of the mod under Files you get to a VirusTotal report and just because 1 program (which I don't even know) gives a message but all others are green doesn't mean that it contains a virus
I had issues with this tool while trying to merge a newer mod (Cleaner UI Project). It gave me an error when trying to launch the game that took a while to solve.
Get Arctool directly from FluffyQuack's steam guide which is most up to date (26 Dec, 2020) and if you can't figure out how to properly use it, this video demonstrates how to do so: Dragon's Dogma - How To Merge Mods (as a matter of fact, it is ironically easier/faster than this).
While using 'Extract All Tex' I get an error during the process: clsCommandExtractAllFiles - > could not find a part of the path ...\steamapps\common\DDDA\nativePC\rom\TEMPimages
why put the tool in the game path?? just extract it in downloads folder, one of the first lines in the description is "When extracting or repacking files, please make sure that none of your folders have and spaces in the name. I will fix this later on, but for now. NO SPACES!"

Woohoo this still works!!! This tool is a hard requirement for Less Intrusive Reticle and Crosshair for Archery ...which took me a little while to figure out (intructions were minimal)...but it worked! BWAHAHAH! \o/
So THIS mod/tool is still working as advertised! At the very least, it does for Less Intrusive Reticle and Crosshair for Archery.

Hey Lisbeth, quick question. How'd you replace the dds file? I can't seem to get it to open to swap them around, do i need a separate tool for them? I'm currently trying to use the mod too and would love some help :) thanks in advance
Is this a dead mod/tool? None of the links work and the tool doesn't seem to able to extract the updated games files as .xmls anymore. I cant even find an working download other than this page, which is several game versions out of date.

I'm having some trouble figuring out what to do... I've chosen the top file, hit "extract all arc", then when that was done, hit "repack". replaced original main.arc with the main.arc from the mod selected when I hit "Extract all", but only that top mod was in effect. Am I supposed to click "extract tex" as well when dealing with multiples or not? I've never modded outside NMM before. I'm using DDDATool,since ArcTool and ArcToolRunner close immediately after starting.

For real, the description only gives a basic rundown of what the buttons do which is entirely unnecessary. Then he links to other more in-depth tutorials which are either dead, not applicable to this program, or are unhelpful in their own right.
Don't ever think of extracting Title.arc with this : just by exacting title.arc and repacking it wihout even changing anything inside, i end up with an error ! it seems something goes wrong when it repacks the arc. i don't know if it has something to do with GOG edition. for now it seems to work for the other arcs.
