About this mod

** UPDATED 7/15/18 ** - Full set of armor retextures for ALL races, genders and classes. Color schemes match my Faction Recolors mod.

Permissions and credits
This is a collection of outfits for the Inquisitor, made to match the four main color schemes in my Faction Recolors mod.  Currently not every retex is available for every race/gender combo, but that’s my eventual goal. Not every available texture has been fully tested, either, so PLEASE let me know if you run into any problems!

Most of the below retextures have tintable versions.  These can produce a nearly endless variety of colors when combined with Opulent Tints or a color palette mod.  Default colors are shown in the screenshots.

Please note that these are UPDATED from the versions of the Formalwear and Gown I had posted previously to the Faction Recolors mod.  I have changed the colors and the lighting/shading maps so that they look better in the Winter Palace's frankly terrible lighting.

Texture used on all of the "embossed velveteen" panels is by jojo-ojoj on DeviantArt.

*** 7/15/18 MOD UPDATE NOTES ***
  • Added ALL variations of the Faction Outerwear.
  • Added Faction Armory, which retextures ALL of the Inquisitor's unique armors.
  • Added Faction Scale for HM only.
  • Uploaded an alternate, lighter version of the Faction Coat mod, for those who have trouble getting the original to load.

Faction Armory  **NEW 7/15/18
A retexture of ALL of the Inquisitor's unique armors, including the same coat that's in the Faction Coat mod, the cropped Hunter jacket, and the plate armor, plus ALL Inquisitor arms and legs!  Black suede with silver detailing, and embossed velveteen accents in Faction colors, made to match the other Faction Wardrobe mods.

The metal on the non-tintable versions of these mods is still tintable, despite my best efforts.  They are meant to be used with an Iron metal tint, to get the look shown in the screenshots.

Tintable version is fully tintable, including some parts that are not tintable in vanilla.  The embossed pattern on the cloth will remain.

Will conflict with ANY mod that changes the Inquisitor's armor parts, including the Faction Coat mod, but since that mod is included in this, it's not necessary anyway.  Does not include, and will not conflict with, any underarmor mods - use this with the Faction PJ, Outerwear and Scale mods, or use any other mods you like!

One mod affects ALL races and genders.

Faction Coat
A retexture of the Apprentice/Enchanter’s Coat Texture, meant to be worn alongside the Faction Outerwear as a unique Winter Palace outfit for your Inquisitor.  Black suede coat with silver detailing and embossed velveteen panels on the front and yoke in Faction colors, very strongly saturated to look good in the Winter Palace candlelight.  Will affect the Day’s Vigil and Night’s Watch Outerwear outfits, and all armors which use the short or long coat models. Tintable version is fully tintable - leather coat body, metal trim, and cloth panels - but will retain the embossed pattern.

To wear the coat with the Outerwear as in the screenshots, use InvisibleFormalAttire by Dheuster and change into either Day’s Vigil or Night’s Watch at the Wardrobe before starting Halamshiral.  To wear it with your favorite PJ retexture, use the same setup but add in either the Apprentice Coat mod (short coat) or the Enchanter’s Coat mod (long coat) from Skyhold outfits and formal attire replacements by sirsagrell.  (Untested, but it should work.)  Mix and match with your favorite Outerwear and/or PJ Texture for best effect.

Not compatible with any retexture of either the coat or the arms with the furry pauldrons, as they are on the same texture file.  Please note that this is included with, and thus NOT compatible with, Faction Armory.  Install one or the other, not both!

One mod affects all races and genders.

**NEW 7/15/18 - Added an optional Light version of this mod, for those having trouble getting the original to load.

Faction Skyhold PJs
Grey body with colored panels and boot-tops, with the Inquisition symbol emblazoned on the back in black.  Simple, elegant, looks good under various armors. Tintable version has grey panels with the black symbol, and the shoulders, sides, sleeves and boot-tops are tintable.

Currently only available for HM; other races and genders coming soon!

Faction Outerwear
Black leather vest, boots and gloves, grey pants, Faction color (or tintable) shirt and scarf, with the Inquisition insignia emblazoned on the shoulder.  Shows under certain armors and can be used as Skyhold PJs via the Wardrobe.

Available for all races and genders!  Highly recommended that Human Male players use the Buttflap Be Gone - Outerwear mod by tklivory, as the buttflap piece is not housed in the same place as the rest of the texture and was not retextured.  (The outfit looks better without it anyway.)

Please note that the Dwarf and Qunari Males have slightly distorted emblems on the shoulders due to the way the texture is applied to the model.  I did my best to correct for it so it shouldn't be terribly noticeable.

Faction Scale  **NEW 7/15/18
Retexture of the scale mail underarmor that goes under most heavy armors and some medium and light armors.  Darker, slightly less reflective scale, black boots and gloves, and Faction colored, embossed velveteen sash, boot cuffs, and glove cuffs.  Tintable version has black leather with tintable scale and velveteen.

PLEASE NOTE that this has a darkened diffuse and spec on the scale mail.  This will result in your scale underarmor being a slightly different color (usually darker and more saturated, but not always) than any plates or other metal bits that are put over it - see screenshots for examples.  I actually really like this look and think it makes the armor more attractive to have a little contrast, but your mileage may vary.

Will conflict with any other scale mail retexture for that race/gender combo.  Compatible with retextures of the spaulders and tassets, and as a matter of fact, I HIGHLY recommend either Tintable Spaulders & Tassets by danexuslurker, or Inquisitor Armour Leather Shoulder and Thigh Pads by DarthParametric, as a companion to this mod.  The vanilla tan leather spaulders and tassets look really silly with this retex.

If you use Faction Armory, the spaulders and tassets will be made tintable by that mod, so another isn't necessary.

Currently only available for HM, other races and genders coming soon.

Exquisition Faction Formalwear
Recolors of the lovely Exquisition formalwear by jacknifelee, now a modder’s resource, to match the Faction colors.  No tintable version is planned at this time. One mod affects all races and genders.

Faction Formalwear
Grey uniform with black leather and silver accents, and a colored sash in embossed velveteen.  Glove cuffs and boot tops match the sash. Very strongly saturated colors to stand up to the Winter Palace’s dark orange lighting.  Tintable version only tints the patterned bits and will appear dark blue at the ball if you have no other fabric mods.  One mod affects all races and genders.

Faction Gowns
Faction colored gowns with grey accents, silver jewelry and an embossed velveteen skirt to match the Faction Formalwear.  Like the Formalwear, the colors are very strongly saturated. No tintable version available. Compatible with all dress mesh mods that don’t include a dress retexture.

Works for all female characters.  Will not work on males; they will be invisible.

A NOTE ABOUT BALLGOWNS ON QUNARI FEMALES:
Qunari females are able to wear ballgown mods the same way as other female characters.  However, there is a bug that results in the exposed skin in dress retextures being too light and too warm-toned to match with the face.  This happens with ALL dress retextures and is unavoidable.

The mod author team K.N.Y. has come up with a genius workaround for this bug.  In their mod pack S.O.S, they uploaded five Qunari Female face complexions that lighten/warm the skin tone to match the exposed skin in dress retextures.  I HIGHLY recommend installing one of their Pale complexions when using any dress retexture for QF, mine included.  (It should work for all skin tones.)
