About this mod

Staffs and some spells can inflict critical damage; Everyone can convert weapon damage like Shale.

Permissions and credits
This is a beta mod that makes it possible to deal critical damage with staffs and some spells. Detailed modifications are listed as follows:

  • Mages' staffs and some spells can inflict critical damage. The critical chance is determined by the character's ranged critical chance property.
  • A staff provides a basic bonus to ranged critical chance, which is higher than a longbow but lower than a crossbow.
  • All party members can have their weapon damage converted to Cold / Fire / Electric / Spirit / Nature type upon equipping Shale's small crystals. The damage conversion applies for basic attacks and talents from Origins campaign (Such as Two-Handed Sweep, Scattershot, and Shield Bash).
  • Shale's small (arm) crystals can be equipped by all party members including your hound. They can be equipped to accessories, main hand, off-hand, collar, kaddis (warpaint) or arrow / bolt slot. If you equip the crystals on your hound or as accessories, you can see the visual effect of the crystals on their arms.

Compatibility

  • To achieve such goals I have to make changes to the ncs script files, which means this mod may conflict with other popular mods that modify the same files.
  • I've added a few compatibility files, trying to make this mod compatible with Dennis Lee's Combat Tweaks, Jake Zahn's Class and Specialization Pack and DA2 Style 2-Handed Weapon Attacks for DAO (Only compatible with the talents rather than basic attacks). Though I've had no problem running all these mods together, unexpected problems might still occur, so use this mod at your own risk.

Installation


  • Copy itemstats_SCET.gda and bitm_base_SCET into your override folder.
  • Choose one of the folders inside based on what mods mentioned above you have installed, then copy that folder to your override folder.
  • *****Make sure that in your override folder, there are no other same ncs files but only the ones from your chosen folder!*****
