For those using Diverse Weapons v1.6 or later, read this post for more details on the new "FPP" or "HUD Weapon Sprite Replacements" feature.
For this new feature to work properly your DFU version has to be v0.14.4 or newer.
There are known quirks/bugs with this new feature that you may experience during normal gameplay, they are simply graphical in nature so nothing to worry about outside of the occasional inconsistency/annoyance with that.
If you want more information on implementation of this feature into your own mod or other issues pertaining to it technically please contact, Magicono43 on any of the main ways you can contact me.
Thanks very much RealAKP for your amazing work on diverse weapons and giving me the motivation to work on this HUD sprite replacement feature, and hopefully improve it in the future with less quirky bugs.
Thank you for your amazing work! I have to ask, do you, by any chance, plan to provide this mod as separate Inventory and first-person view packages? I quite like the first person view sprites and animations, but I prefer vanilla for inventory. Thank you again.
Heya realakp, so I wanted to ask you if you are OK with me having done a texture replacer on your work and have uploaded it already on nexus.
I would be highly grateful if you would allow it for I have spent quite a lot of on this and want to share it with others. I know I'm not the only one who always wanted an HD update of your work because you and bearhead are the only ones who has literally made every single weapon in the game unique, I checked your dfmod file and it has like over 5000 files or something, maybe more which is amazing and since other creators have made equally great texture mod that enhances the game to a visually better game, your pixel art while exceptional for the vanilla-plus experience doesn't quite fit into the now more HD mods (namely DREAM of course)
A halberd or pole-axe could easily fit with the axes. One handed spears and maybe two-handed glavies would be cool as well. The problem is the weapon skill. Some modders have made custom skills though (Language skill overhaul). If there was a pole-arm class, then the staff could be re-specified as well.
One handed hammers would be cool as well. They would basically just be res-skinned maces. Actual warhammers were like that. Those in Daggerfall are more like sledgehammers or mauls.
I would kill for compatibility between This mod, DREAM, The Physical Combat And Armor Overhaul, and The Ambidexterity Module when it's fully released on Nexus
I'm working on upscaling the textures. I'm a newbie so I'm having some issues where some sprites become too zoomed in or out of position but the rest turns out perfect for DREAM
I've actually put quiet a lot of work in upscaling the weapons. So far I've done plenty of the elven, dwarven and mithril weapons. I also found uniqiue looking bows which I'm pretty certain of comes from an older version of this mod or maybe some other mod.
Here's a zip file of screenshtots showasing containing images of an upscaled mithril greatsword. https://file.io/QUxVMD31gDGk Edit: I've now done every weapons paperdoll sprite!
Edit 2: Grammar
Edit 3: I don't think the mod author here is active, but I would need their permission if I wanted to share my work of his own content.
Not sure if I mentioned it before, but can you add an option to make orcish weapons green to match the armor set? Also will this mod work with roleplay and realism - items mod, which adds two new weapons?
Hey, sorry for replying so late, I missed this message earlier. The mod works with Ropelpey Realism, it also changes the appearance of the weapons added by this mod. As for the orc weapon I will definitely think about it, but first I would like to see how this set will be renewed in the Unique Armor mod.
Is it possible to make this compatible with the ambidexterity module? I would like to try these while still having the ability to dual wield/block with shields
