Arrow Variety - New arrow types for Daggerfall
Features
- Adds 6 new arrows: Bodkin, Broadhead, Fire, Ice, Poison and Explosive.
- Arrows can be bought in shops.
Requirements
- Requires Tome of Battle 1.5+ to work! Yes, this also has an optional option to show arrow trajectory!
- Make sure to set the Improved Arrow Archery mode in Tome of Battle 1.5+ to 'Global' or 'Typed'
Installation
- Drop the .dfmod file into your Daggerfall\StreamingAssets\Mods folder.
- Alternatively, use Vortex for automatic installation.
Recommended
Set gravity and speed to 1.0 in Tome of Battle. :)
- Bloodfall by SquidKamer for impact and visible spell effects on enemies.
- DaggerBlood V1.0.4+ adds gore effects for the explosive arrow. Load Arrow Variety before DaggerBlood!
- Durable Bows allows you to make your bow last longer. Together with Tome of Battle 1.5 you'll hit more reliably and thus drain your bow's condition more quickly.
- Tome of Battle Addendum by RedRoryOTheGlen for Crossbows utilizing these arrows.
Known Issues
- Special Arrows are items thus appear in the misc tab in your inventory (DFU limitation)
- You can't draw your bow if you have not at least one normal arrow in your inventory, see Options for a ways to make it feel better. (DFU limitation)
- Don't split your arrow stacks. There's a Bug doing so. Will investigate this later on.
Options
There are several options to make the game experience more balanced. Explosive arrows for example are rather OP, so maybe make them super rare and super expensive? Or don't care and go on a never before seen killing spree in Daggerfall 💀💀💀
- Logic: Use a normal arrow alongside a special arrow (see it as a mod for arrows you attach to normal arrows OR use none. You can't draw your bow if you have not at least one normal arrow in your inventory!)
- Controls: Default uses your mouse wheel to change the arrow type. You can also assign a Unity key (case sensitive!)
- Arrow Types: Defines which arrows are allowed to spawn in shops
- Arrow Rarity: Chance for arrow types to be available in a shop.
- Arrow Stacks: Min-Max amount of arrows available in shops.
- Arrow Level Limit: Minimum player level to make the specified arrow type appear in shops.
- Arrow Prices: Set the base price for each arrow type.
Deinstallation
- Simply remove the mod. Arrows in your inventory might still be there, best to drop them on the ground and forget about them. The arrow items will also have no sprite anymore.
