This mod restores missing crucial clue audio playback in The Hunt quest

The audio in question is a focal point of The Hunt thriller quest action.
You're supposed to recognize the quest key clue by the audio tune playing when spotted.
Yet at the climax of the pivotal and emotional quest moment, you'll find that the looked audio... no, you won't find it as since the game v 1.3 it's just missing.
This ruins the quest's immersion and makes references in the dialogues to the expected audio track incomprehensible.
Actually the dialogues sound incongruous without the audio, as if they were mismatched to the quest.
You may even not realize that you have completed the key quest objective without the audio track playing.
Why would you need this mod if you know nothing about The Hunt quest or the issue explained above?
Let me put it this way:
by the time you get to the affected scene, it will be too late to apply the patch, as the damage to the game's immersion will have already been done.
This is a prominent side character storyline quest, and it's quite a good story and a key episode in the quest.
It's something you just cannot miss in your playthrough.
Sooner or later, you will get to the scene, and it deserves a really good immersion like a good big-screen thriller in a real movie theater.
With this mod, you can fully immerse yourself in the thrilling narrative without being distracted and confused by the story breaker game glitch in a crucial moment.
Two editions are available: CET and redscript.
Which edition should I choose?
The choice between the two editions depends on your personal preference.
Both editions provide the same functionality.
The differences come from dependencies:
CET edition:
Requirement: Cyber Engine Tweaks
- Requires only one dependency (CET)
- Easy to manage and troubleshoot while the game application is running
- Easier to troubleshoot
- More susceptible to being disabled by game updates due to its CET dependency
- More likely to experience CET-related issues during gameplay
redscript edition:
Very important compatibility note:
there are two versions depending on your game version.
Please make sure to install the correct version or it will cause scripts compilation failure on game application startups.
Requirement 1: redscript
Requirement 2 for REDmod support (optional): cybercmd OR RED4ext Please select one of the two as together they may cause issues.
If you choose the cybercmd, make sure to install the standalone version if you don't have Cyber Engine Tweaks installed.
- Requires two dependencies if used in combination with REDmod.
- Requires a game application restart for management and troubleshooting
- Troubleshooting may be more difficult
- Less susceptible to being disabled by game updates
- Less likely to experience code execution issues during gameplay.
What if I install both editions?
There is no harm in installing both.
The CET edition will detect the presence of the redscript edition and remain inactive.
Compatibility info:
Game v1.6+ through 2.1+ with corresponding requirement versions depending on the edition installed.
The CET edition is universal, covering the full range of game versions.
CET 1.26.0 is not supported due to numerous issues in this version.
CET 1.29.0 is not supported due to numerous issues in this version.
CET 1.30.0 is not supported due to issues in this version.
The redscript edition has separate files for the game v1.6 and v2.x
Please make sure to install the correct version or it cause scripts compilation failure on a game application start.
Not tested against earlier versions.
Issue reporting:
In case of issues, please make sure to update the mod and its requirements to the latest supported versions first.
DO NOT assume you already have the latest versions installed - verify by checking the mod pages.
If you still experience some unexpected mod functionality on the supported game and requirement versions please first verify it with all other mods disabled (with the exception for the required scripting platforms) before reporting.
The mods types that may affect this one functionality typically are:
- CET scripting platform disabled due to versions mismatch or misconfiguration,
- the redscript mod files in the \Cyberpunk 2077\r6\scripts folder
- the CET mod files in the \Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks\mods folder
- REDmod mods in the \Cyberpunk 2077\mods folder
If you find any issue with the requirements please contact their vendors.
Please note 99% of issues come from incompatible mods, corrupted data in game saves, unhealthy game install base or corrupted mod install.
I reserve the remaining 1% for unknown yet mod bugs.
