Q:I use a controller and the keys are binded to the same thing.
A: You'll have to change the accelerate/decelerate buttons to something other than shoot/aim. If someone has a controller and wants to ping me on discord, i'm in one of the two modding servers and we could try and make a patch for it. Or, you can just turn off player weapons in the native ui menu.
Q: I don't see the Vehicle Combat mod tab.
A: Native Settings UI just got an update so it has pages now, you might need to cycle to the next page to see it.
Hello!. I tried to fix the call reinforcements feature of this mod because its preem and I want to bring it to latest version of cyberpunk2077 which is 2.02. The redscript now compiles upon replacing and commenting a bunch of code based on the updated game code logic.
I tested it and now the crowd and enemy calling progress bar appears and disappears when completed. Unfortunately, no new enemy spawns and you don't get a heat level either.
Upon checking the code again, I saw a line that gets its value from the TweakDB, specifically 'prevention_data'. Now, I opened Cyber Engine Tweaks from the 2 game version and this is what I found from version 1.63 and 2.02.
It looks like CDPR deleted or moved some of the data when they updated the game. Based on my understanding of the code inside this mod (correct me if I'm wrong), this data that is missing is the one the gives the player heat level based on the district/location and makes the enemy reinforcements spawn with vehicles like the police and maxtac. So in the end, I can't fix it. I just want to let other modders who will try to fix this mod on what I found and hope it helps in the future.
That's all I have to share on my experience on troubleshooting this mod. I hope in the future someone creates a mod like this or maybe CDPR updates the game and add this feature.
yea, but seeing Valentino exiting from a MaxTec shuttle is jarring. no made up story in my head can justify why the alpha predators of Night City let gangers fly their ride.
I'm honestly sad this code was removed from the game, unless it was moved or merged somewhere else. I so want gang members calling for back up.
Hey guys, don't want to promise anything. But as I was a huge fan of this gang reinforcement feature, I always tried to reproduce it without success.
But developing Night City Alive and NCPD Prevention Police Enhancement made me finally find a way to link Gangs calling the prevention system. Yesterday for the first time, I managed to separate the prevention called by Gangs. For now it's a very unstable test. I need so much time to test it. But I will do my best.
Again, I can't promise anything. The wrong consequence for now is with this feature, the two mods above will be dependent of each other. We will see in the future.
@Kadeirante believe the reinforcement call system in this mod was its main draw, rather than the actual vehicle combat. That system hasn't been replicated in later official patches or mods - probably because it's highly complex and was just a secondary feature that flew under most people's radar.
Is this still beeing updated? im getting this error message on game start. game is modded through vortex. REDScript compilation has failed. This error has been caused by mods listed below: - Vehicle Combat
Yes but the ability for gangs to call back up and chase you is gone. so Modders don't have a way to do that and now i have to rely on only finishing missions to get ambushed which is random. i want to be chased when i fight them on the streets, not randomly after a mission.
I was looking for so long, when trying to mod the 2.0 for the first time, where was this old mod I had who made enemies call for backup. Ended up looking at this mod, it couldn't be this one innit? And of course it was, and of course now this feature is broken. :( So, one more person to ask for a Standalone Backup System, pretty please! xD
Anyone looking for the Police System Rework portion of this mod, check out Katane1991's NIGHT CITY ALIVE (specifically the optional file Sensitive prevention).
The sensitive prevention optional file makes it so if you're not careful in how you go about combat and you attack NPCs they'll call the NCPD or a crime prevention unit (local gang members that show up to act as like, neighborhood watch/security units) and you'll get a wanted level. Unless you kill the person making the call before they complete it, of course. The optional Sensitive Pedestrian file and maybe the NCPD Prevention Police Enhancement mod also by Katane1991 might also help approximate the features you're looking for but I'm not sure since I never used the original mod, I've only read descriptions lol.
not true unfortunately... seems like we might have to wait a long while before a fix or new mod. Been testing out a lil bit the Sensitive Prevention of NCA and it seems like only enemies will call the ncpd(sometimes) when u attack them, which feels kinda weird cuz: 1- they literally stay still there for seconds while in a firefight and they become easy kills 2- arent gangs supposed to run away from the ncpd too? why calling the police when u could call for a friendly backup like in this mod? Apart from that i saw in the NCA mods' files that the way u get stars is the same as always, u get heat for each crime u do until u reach a +1 star. What this mod used to do was literally make u be able to not get a single star if u were able to kill every single civillian in ur surroundings which were trying to call for the ncpd.
And even if Sensitive Prevention made civillians able to call the ncpd while u were in a firefight(if u shoot at them directly they seem to just run away) it still doesnt change the fact that u will get stars based on ur crimes rather than the ppl being able to call for help like in vehicle combat mod.
I loved this mod when it was out. I know vehicle combat is in the game but my favourite part of this mod was the backup system, any chance of a standalone mod?
I've been looking for other mods that have a backup system no such luck. I'm really hoping for a standalone for the backup system, made the game so much more fun and immsersive.
The new police and vehicle combat system is alright. But I miss gangs calling up reinforcements and the spawns being dependent on logical factors like someone making a call rather than "just spawning." I antagonised the police several times, and the experiences never matched to the high-octane craziness I had with the mod. No mad dash across Heywood backstreets while hounded by police sirens, no jumping off Watson bridge in a frantic attempt to evade Max-Tac, no three-way war between V, the Raffens and Militech in the Badlands.
Scissors was the absolute GOAT of Cyberpunk modding. I had great fun in my 1.63 save with this mod, the reinforcement system really needs to be extracted from this mod and reintroduced to 2.0+.
I could be wrong but to me, based on that description of the backup system, check out NIGHT CITY ALIVE (with the optional file Sensitive prevention and maybe the Sensitive pedestrian file).
The NCPD Prevention Police Enhancement mod and the Sensitive Pedestrian file for Night City Alive might also help with what you're all looking for as well, but I'm not sure.

Can you explain how you reproduce the "calling progress bar" ?
Wow! Any update on this? keep us posted!

he should also fix the issue with not being able to use sandevistan or kerenzikov when doing a vehicle contract/driving a vehicle that isnt your own
