Eye Adaptation Auto Exposure Fix - Vanilla Native Weather Option - Complete Overhaul - No More Blinding Lighting and Slower Bloom Gamma Changes - Optional SHARPENING OFF and VIGNETTE OFF
The 2.01 update of the mod is NOT out just yet, BUT...
I'm making very good progress and possibly could be done anytime (in a couple days?) if all goes well in terms of real life stuff that could otherwise distract me.
Updated for Cyberpunk 2077 version 1.63! Thank you for coming back! You shouldn't have waited this long for my mods to be updated for Cyberpunk 2077 version 1.63...
I apologize that it has taken me such a long time to finally recreate my mods from scratch and make them compatible with patch 1.63 of one of our favorite games.
I really appreciate every single one of the messages and donations I've ever received, the latter especially recently as my personal life took a certain turn.
Money is not what has ever motivated me to work on the mod since its inception, but I do need to say thank you to everyone and especially that one person who reached out (you know who you are!). Every single cent was appreciated, make no mistake!
Back to the reason why the update has taken so long:
Unfortunately, the donations can only go so far. I've been focusing a little bit more on my financial situation, and my schedule was air tight.
This meant I couldn't divert my attention, time and energy to modding until a little window in August - which is when I finally completed the mod update.
I am typing this message in hopes that you forgive my tardiness...
This is the Vanilla Weather variant of the mod. If you're looking to increase Weather variety, please go here: LINK
Check the pinned comment below to see why you absolutely need to install Better Vehicle First Personto truly take advantage of my eye adaptation changes when driving in first person. You'll find an example of a decent vehicle camera configuration, so you can understand how to do it yourself for any and all vehicles that you drive. Highly recommended! You can even set steering sensitivity per-vehicle! =]
I HIGHLY recommend that you do have Better Vehicle First Person installed. You need that mod with my autoexposure fix, because then it allows you to tweak camera for the different vehicles with different windshields. Always try to have the line of sight (center of the screen) comfortably above the car interior, so the most important values to tweak are: Y multiplier (higher=camera is positioned higher) and sometimes also Tilt Multplier (lower=you're looking more upwards).
Imagine there is a circle in the middle of the screen, it's hard to measure exactly how big it is especially with different aspect ratios that people have, but that circle is essentially used to probe the scene and adjust auto exposure when you have my mod installed. You want that imaginary circle to have as little of the car interior obstruct it as possible, but it's okay if there's a black line on some windshields, the circle is big enough to not go crazy because of a tiny obstruction.
Also, if you have ever installed any "disable first person camera auto center" mod such as the one by DJKovrik, it can be very helpful to get rid of it at least in first person perspective inside vehicles. Keep First Person Camera auto-center turned ON (vanilla behavior) as it will respect Better Vehicle First Person camera's settings and help your line of sight stay where it should be. If you never installed such a mod, you're already good.
Take for example this quick Preset I put together right now. Enter Aerondight and you can type/slide these values into your VehicleFPPCamera overlay and then save Preset for Rayfield Aerondight. You can tweak this further, and you can save a preset for each vehicle in existence individually whenever you enter one. I just wanted to demonstrate how to do it.
If you find any location that has problematic auto exposure OR discover there's some glitch related to my mod that ruins your experience, please make a report by Directly Messaging me or posting a thread in the BUGS tab. I could REALLY use a save file right before your issue occurs (or wherever your issue occurs). Please, pack the savegame folder(s) using WinRar, 7Zip or other such tool into an archive, then upload the archive to any website of your choice and link it to me. That would be extremely helpful!
The save game files are usually located here: %userprofile%\Saved Games\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077
Alternatively, if you really cannot provide a save file, please take a screenshot of the location on the map AND take a screenshot of the overexposure problem. Then, upload them and link them to me.
I promise that if only it can be fixed and isn't an expected behavior/side effect of my changes, I will try fixing it. At the very least I will try to explain why it's happening.
As always, use only one .archive of Eye Adaptation Fix at a time.
If you want to support me beyond downloading my mods, swing by my YouTube channel and drop a like or subscription. That would be greatly appreciated. Love you all and thank you for all the kind words in the comment section of Nexus Mods and beyond.

The main files are considered quite conservative with the adaptation speed. In the past, I offered Kiroshi Symmetrical Adaptation (fancy name, but it boils down to way faster adaptation speed). However, due to the SHEER VOLUME of configs I have to setup whenever I decide to make changes in this new Complete Overhaul approach, I temporarily suspend Kiroshi Symmetrical Adaptation variant updates. I might do them at a later date especially if there's a lot of demand, but please try the main version - perhaps you'll find it sufficient.
The older release files could still be functional if you for some reason prefer them, but I pushed them to the appropriate "old files" category to manage the clutter.

Thank you so much for over 75 000 downloads! =]

"Better Vehicle First Person" is the reason why I started working on fixing autoexposure, they go together like bread and butter. I'm so happy that Bonaniki's mod and mine exist simultaneously. At one point, we both held top spots for most popular mods in the same month! That was something. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be!
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DOWNLOADED AND ENDORSED BOTH OF OUR MODS!
Yo did you ever figure out if there’s any other mods that do the same thing as this one? Just started playing cyberpunk but the sun is just so damn bright
Thanks to OP putting us through their mental gymnastics I was able to find the cause of my crashes when entering certain parts of Dogtown during the gig two wrongs make us right. No clue why the hell this mod crashes my game when it spawns in enemies after you repo the van and leave the garage. This also breaks time skips whenever you sleep or do it through the menu, what the hell does this mod not break at this point??
The fault is probably on me for not reading through the entire thing that has gigantic fonts and colourful text but god damn this entire mod description and pinned comments are mess when it still has stuff from 2022...I appreciate the work for the mod you've created but at least maintain the page or stick to YouTubing and shilling your donation page.
This hasn't been updated for almost 2 years - wtf you mean it works with the version of the game it's up to date with? you have to scroll SO far down because of your spam stickied comments to even find that it does not work - how about sticky one that says it's not up to date so you don't waste the time of hundreds/thousands of people.
It's also not hard to mark the mod as hidden because the mod was last updated 2 years ago when it's no longer supported and/or updated by the author making troubleshooting worse when you're not an expert. This single mod was the main cause for many and the only cause of my many crashes until I figured it out.
If life has caught up to you or you have no interest in modding anymore then fair enough, I love the work and effort every modder puts in and I'm even willing to pay for quality but this guy is still active on Nexus not doing anything with this page. Almost like they're promoting something...their equally as dead YouTube channel and donation link perhaps?
Brother, something is seriously wrong with your mod. It fucks with the loading of map geometry, causing me through fall through the floor or buildings... I just disabled it and all was good again. s#*! sent me on a wild goose chase until I stumbled upon this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/comments/17oe9j0/cyberpunk_2077_i_keep_falling_through_the_map/ As you can see by the top comment and the countless thanks under it, its not an isolated issue.
FYI, This mod is somehow causing some geometry in the game to disappear and you fall through the world. I only saw this issue at the beach side of CoastView region.
I installed a vanilla no mods CB to investigate my white screen. I found this and applied it but there was no change.... I can make adjustments and see the differences but the screen is almost completely white.
I said that once and he didn't like it. Better for him to say that he will no longer update the mod than to keep people hoping for something that will never happen.
After much troubleshooting, I have found that this mod was causing missing ground textures and clipping through the ground. Possibly and likely due to incompatibility with other mods, untested, but it is currently the mod I'm choosing to leave out.

All that matter is: mod is not working. And will never be updated.
It works perfectly fine on the version of the game it is up to date with.
It is not up to date with the current version of the game, yet.
at least they don't prevent anyone from commenting.

And don't be so hard with Dravic1, this is not an easy job.
