Installation and Trouble Shooting
The main reason NOT to add more mods to the game is every mod you add increases the number of patches performed to the Unity Engine. Patches can conflict with or overwrite other patches, and if placed in the incorrect order, they can lead to erroneous gameplay results.
I do not recommend adding additional mods to XAI, as I have scoured the internet for the best and most valuable treasures. However, there is nothing wrong with adding pilot mods or the commander portraits mod if you desire. (commander traits and C-fixes are already in there along with many other mods.) Please join the XAI Discord Link if you have any doubts or questions. The installation and trouble-shooting links are here.

XAI Rule Changes and Game Guide
XAI Game Rules that differ from the Tabletop and Vanilla.
I have gone to extreme lengths to list weapon and ammo descriptions,
abilities, and pros and cons within the game, and sometimes all you have
to do is mouse over to get a brief description.
Some of these rules may seem disorganized because they are some of these rules are located in the XAI Core mod.json.
Machine guns have had their critical percentages lowered until you get high-tier machine guns.
Total crits inflicted are now split between the weapons and your pilots' skills for all major classes of weapons.
You can mix heatsinks but are limited to no more than two heat exchangers per mech.
Many items now have limits on how many you can add to a mech and... -

Hey guys and gals!
I wanted to share with you a bit of my background and why I started out on this endeavor of building this mod for you and me!
I enjoyed playing Classic Battletech for many years when I was quite a bit younger. I was also quite fond of the 3025 eras and have even played in tournaments. I have a great passion for gaming and originally started out on the Commodore 64, so that should date me pretty well. Over the years, I found that I was was just not quite satisfied with most of the games I would play, so I started modding them, sometimes heavily.
I now have three large mods under my belt and have learned a lot from the community and made many friends, over the years! I really appreciate everyone that has either advised me... -
# DynamicCompanyMorale
Company morale system is made more interesting by introducing temporary morale events and meaningful financial decisions at the start of each
quarter.
Gameplay changes
Introduce a morale reset at the end of each in game month
Morale resets to base value (18)+ morale bonus of the ARGO upgrades
The expenditure level selection has a greater impact now
The morale impacts are -8,-4+3,+6 depending on chosen expenditures
All morale impacts of events are made temporary (programmatically) and much more relevant
Morale boosts/penalties are multiplied by 2
The effects are temporary and expire after a while just like the MedTech/MechTech events do
This is reflected in the UI
