Hey guys and gals!
I wanted to share with you a bit of my background and why I started out on this endeavor of building this mod for you and me!

I enjoyed playing Classic Battletech for many years when I was quite a bit younger. I was also quite fond of the 3025 eras and have even played in tournaments. I have a great passion for gaming and originally started out on the Commodore 64, so that should date me pretty well. Over the years, I found that I was was just not quite satisfied with most of the games I would play, so I started modding them, sometimes heavily.

I now have three large mods under my belt and have learned a lot from the community and made many friends, over the years!  I really appreciate everyone that has either advised me or given feedback about the mods. I do it with the passion of having a game that I love, and I want to share it with you!

XAI BattleTech started out as just fixing some of the Argo problems, then of course as you play you start changing more and more. Pretty soon you have reached the point of no return and have to make the game completely the way you like it. Trust me when I say not every game is modder friendly, and many are very poorly coded in the first place. Battletech is a pretty good game out of the box, but I really wish Paradox would embrace the modding community more and give us better tools for us. Such as the 3D max plugins to make new mechs and other models.  They could learn big lessons from Creative Assembly, and they will get a HUGE residual income over a decade when they embrace the modding community.

Now that 2.07 is completed, I feel that this mod is close to the end of its journey. Hopefully, the work I have done on top of the other giants in the community will give you timeless gameplay.  I am so thankful for the other modders here that have graciously let me use all or parts of their work, you know who you are and have been credited. It saved me hundreds of hours and admittedly helped propel XAI because I am not a coder.  Glad I made some great friends along the way.

Thanks for taking the time to play and read!!
