I want to thank everyone who has played, taken the time for feedback, and endorsed XAI! Thank you! It is important to keep endorsing it, so the mod's status makes it easy for people to find by popularity sorting. If I can still enjoy it after 5000 hours of play and over 3000 hours of modding then the mission has been accomplished! First of all thank you for the hard work done on this mod and all who helped with supporting this.
I found a problem with the short ranged SRM Artemis IV missile boxes which does not seem to be uploaded into the shop. Been investigating the xml's one by one.
Start the game, open skirmish > mech bay and check out if you are able to equip the Artemis IV SRM or find them in the infinite store. The Artemis IV ammo boxes which are pre-equipped do not seem to work either and tell the user that it has ammo which it can not use.
Thanks it is appreciated, I will look into it, but Artemis 4 does not have pre-equipped missiles. If you are running other mods, then this maybe the issue. I haven't had any issues with Artemis 4 in my games, and I use it quite frequently. Are meaning the skirmish mode?
Artemis 4's are definitely in the stores, you might just be looking in the wrong ones.
The LRM ARTIV ammo box versions are ok but the SRM ARTIV versions are not. I am using a personally balanced streak missile launchers mod in combination with XAI and noticed it shared an ID 17 in the Ammo category with SRM_ARTIV.
Yes this conflict for sure is caused by Streak Missile Launcher mod indeed. Hence I'm trying to figure out the conflict as we converse. Additional streak missile variation opens up even more tactical possibilities which gives it a nice finishing touch on the missile assortment in total without going completely overboard.
Checking in how to combine this mod with XAI. I will upload a patched Streak Missiles mod for XAI as soon I am done balancing things out a bit more.
FINAL UPDATE! Problem fully solved and tested. Full rebalance done. Reinstalled XAI BattleTech then installed the personally modified/balanced for XAI Streak Missile launchers mod and combined the ID numbering follow-up inside the AmmoCatagories.json list.
Can you re-edit your post please, and hide or delete the code as it is unneeded. BTW, it would be better for you to just join the discord. Remember, the ammo is a group of ammo for a type of weapon. You can have unlimited ammo for that type, but you cannot change the ammo group for a weapon.

No, the VANILLA game causes memory leaks. Read more careful, and you will find your installation is incorrect. If you come over to the discord, I will personally help you. You have installed unneeded mods as they are already included, and any double installation will cause exactly that. No one else is having these issues.....
I am really enjoying this mod and feel it has a great balance of vanilla with added features I like. The only issue I have is the jump jet landing killing stability and the mech falling and injuring the pilot. Is there any way to change this in the file? Thanks for all your hard work!

Is there per chance any Mechlab mod (that lets one fully modify mechs including engines) compatible with this? I really like how XAI plays so far, but the pre-defined engines like in vanilla are always silly to me xD
I doubt it, but you can try it but it would probably require major rework as I heard they changed to a new file type system. There reason I made the silly decision not to use Mech Engineer at the time, it was because of the game performance hit. The other reason is it is an unfair advantage over the AI.
Yes, it has everything you need and contains the best of the best. No real need to add anything other than extra pilots or portrait stuff if you want. Story mode is fully intact and improved in many ways. Please read the Title page for a full list of features.
Are half skull missions intended to be so difficult? Like the blackout mission just bullies me with insanely tough armoured ground vehicles that I can hardly hit and when I do they have so much armour they hardly take any damage?
There are some missions that will be much more difficult at the start, Blackouts are one of them I would also stay away from ambush convoys for a little while. We are using much more diverse lance defs, therefore skull ratings do not always accurately reflect the difficulty. The best thing to do if you get a bad draw on a mission is to restart.
Obviously, vehicles are no longer just something that you easily squish, vees have been completely re-made with heavy metal and XAI weapons. so they are much tougher and some pack quite a wallop. You are not alone, the XAI3 has turned out to be quite the foe and is really putting a hurtin on my mercs as well, it is no longer a cake walk for me.
It looks like the new Flashpoint Barron Wars that uses the an new program called the MAP Randomizer is messing with story mission 2 (mining colony). I have temporarily removed the program and optional dependency in the BattlePack 3025 until we can fix it. So there are a couple of missions that have a time frame to complete, that will no longer be active.
