If it's not working for you it means one of the following:
You are not actually on the latest game version
You are not actually on the latest mod version
You have installed the mod or its dependency incorrectly
The bug tracker has been disabled in order to retain my sanity and my faith in humanity, as the only new reports endlessly popping up there weren't bugs at all. If the version of the game you're on is listed above, it means that I have personally verified that the mod works on that version.
Solution for everyone saying that this mod prevents the game from loading:
Move DWrite.dll (the dll that ScriptExtender Uses) from the bin folder into the NativeMods folder. BG3ModManager will say that ScriptExtender is missing but that error can be safely ignored. Game will launch and play as intended.
File directory:
Baldurs Gate 3\bin\NativeMods <--put the DLL in here
I'm slowly losing my mind. I cannot zoom in past the game default no matter what I do, controller or mouse. I've checked the files and prerequisites, I know I have the most recent mod version and game version, I've made sure the script extender is up to date, DWrite.dll is in the NativeMods folder, I have no idea what else to do. It just will not work no matter what I try. :(
I finally got mine to work. I completely removed the native mod loader and the native camera tweaks mod. rebooted my PC then did a fresh install of both mods. That still didn't do the trick until I did the sticky that omegix01 posted above on moving the DWrite.dll
So I see people asking this a lot so I figured I'd leave a comment.
"How do I move the camera up and down?"
To explain the problem By default, the camera is locked to a look at a specific height. You can zoom out and rotate the camera in a lot of ways, but it always seems to be locked to gaze at the player's upper back. What you're asking is, "How do I raise and lower the camera?"
There's no keyboard control for this as of the writing of this post. You need to go to BG3NativeCameraTweaks.toml, open it in Notepad (or a similar program) and change the Vertical Offset.
You'll most likely want to change ExplorationVerticalOffsetMult = 0.8. Changing it to 0.5 - 0.4 seems to be good, however you'll also want to change ExplorationOverrideOffset = false to true.
The cool thing is, you can change this setting while playing and it will update live. Just save, and the camera will shift.
It's a good idea to make a copy of this file before making edits, so you can restore a clean version if you make too many mistakes.
When using the WASD mod, I like the following settings for an immersive, modern third person movement scheme. This moves the camera left of the player (positioning them on the right side of the screen) and focuses the camera about breast height.
ExplorationOverrideOffset = true # The following settings only have an effect when ExplorationOverrideOffset is set to true ExplorationHorizontalOffsetMult = -0.8 # Horizontal offset, in vanilla it's 0 so it's not used, but seems to work when set to a different value ExplorationVerticalOffsetMult = 0.6 # Vertical offset of the camera from the floor level - the character height multiplied by this setting
Reading the posts here, I think a lot of people are having the same problem. I didn't play BG3 for about a week and have come back to it, and all of a sudden the camera mod isn't working anymore. I've tried restarting the game, deleting it, re-installing the mod, checking the files etc. The only thing I have noticed is that the game isn't recognising the camera anymore, if you look at the logs it's not starting it up when you go into the game. I have no idea why it's doing this, but please can you take a look and see what could be going wrong? I can't play the game without this :'(
Okay, I might've cracked it!! This may not work for everyone though! I uninstalled the native mod loader correctly and the native camera tweaks and re-installed it all. This seems to have fixed it, the log is updating again and it's working in-game. I will keep you posted if it does it again though <3
Hi, the mod has been working just fine the last time I played which was 2-3 days ago, I opened the game today as usual and it wasn't working anymore? I didn't have any problems with the mod up till now, I reinstalled it and it's still not working, I didn't change anything up. The logs also don't show that the mod is active, in this case the .log file didn't show up at all because I reinstalled the mod, but before I deleted the previous folder it had the .log file and it only showed being active during my last time online.
I am having an issue that I cant seem to solve, nor find an answer for. When I hold down the middle mouse button to rotate the camera and then release the button when im finished making my camera adjustment, the camera stays locked to camera pitch, moving the camera pitch while i use the cursor. Forgive me if this has been addressed somewhere in this thread but there are 144 pages and I dont see a search option.
im on Version 4.1.1.5022896 which i dont see listed above, but my friend who I am playing with is on the same version without issue.
Negative. I double checked after your comment. If your refering to the one a few comments down from mine, he was having an issue with the pitch working all together. Both pitch AND yaw work for me, my problem is when I release the button (to no longer have the camera attached to my mouse movements) it remains attacked to controlling the pitch of the camera. I have to re-press the button and jerk the camera around a few different time to get it to release completeley. Oddly it ONLY happens for pitch and not yaw. I had this mod installed before and did not have this issue. Clean install of the game and a clean install of all the required mod files and still having the issue. I doubt many people at all are having this issue but since one other guy is I will do my best to troubleshoot it. If you read this (mod creator) any help in what i might be looking for would be greatly appreciated. I will start with trying a different mouse just to toss hardware out the window.
I verified game files, then reinstalled script extender, native mods, and native camera. No change.
I tried older versions of DLWRITE, native camers, and native mod also no change.
I couldnt find any editable config files within the actual game folders in my steam library, nor in my local app data where the game saves are kept.
I tried changing the values of various settings within Native Camera TOML file and no change there either. One thing i noticed is that no matter what I set the MIN or MAX zoom value to, it didnt allow me to zoom closer or further out in game. Not an issue because the default is fine, just thought it worth noting.
I have ZERO experience with these kinds of things so I am lost on what to do next. The only other thing i can think of is that im on an entirely different PC than I was when I first played using this mod. However I wouldnt think that to have any bearing on the problem im having but who knows. Computers are finnicky. I have a core i5 13600k, a 3060, 16gb ddr5, and thats about the only thing of note. Its not custom built. A Lenovo Legion from BB.
Anyhow, anyone that can help, me love you long time.
I was thinking about my comment of 1st May, you can check we never know.

I had this issue after I reassigned shortcut by default from middle mouse click to the right-click. Then I realized that I had deleted the "ping" shortcut WITHOUT reassigning it. I was stuck in rotation mode i.e. (double-arrow mouse cursor displayed), and had to click again on right-click, which was barely playable. As soon as I reassigned "ping", bugs disappeared"
Have fixed it know temporarily for me by assigning in ghub middle to right and right to middle, with a profile only for baldurs gate, so it changes automatically when opening that window. The Bug really only appears with the right click assignment and not with the physical right click. That way i can play like always. It might be not a suitable solution for everyone, but a workaround for those with configurable mouse software
I dont know what you mean here. I understand you change some button maps in your logitech software but (i mean this respectfully fyi) your explanation made zero sense to me. Ive tried middle mouse, right nouse, and a thumb button on my mouse as the assigned key for rotation and they all have the same problem so for me at least i dont think it has to do with button assignment. I have since completed the game so I am taking a long break. I know the problem has something to do with my computer rather than the mod itself inherently having a bug in it. Likely hardware or driver related but i suffered through it to the end lol. The mod is wonderful. Now make a first person mod and that would be wild :P thanks to everyone who tried to help and chimed in, i appreciate your participation and thanks modder for helping make the game more enjoyable for eveyone.
Hi, thanks for the nice mod. I am using the Heaven's Divider Ultimate - Weapon - Invisible and the effects on the hands are still visible. It's like a bright, fiery hand glow. Is that intentional? The weapon glow is gone in the Invisible setting, but the fist glow remains. I'm trying to figure out how to turn it off myself, but I'm not very good with stuff like that.
After installing the latest version of the mod, the mouse sensitivity has greatly increased when the camera is turned on. And this parameter is not configurable in the settings. Are there any other ways to fix this?
Can someone help me out? I I installed the mod together with the WASD-Mod and the Native loader mod and it all worked perfectly fine. yesterday i installed the scriptextender mod with a hug-mod and that worked at first too. but now it doesn't work anymore, so i deleted the hug-mod and the scriptextender, but my camera mods still don't work anymore and it's so frustrating
Nevermind, i worked it out. apparently the few saves i had with the script-mod and hug-mod were the problem. deleted them now it all works again. but the hug-mod sadly still doesn't :((
the mod works on everything except moving the vertical axis of the camera, couldn't find any fix. works if i change the default unlocked pitch in the toml file but i can't get it to work by using the actual camera button in game

The ping command creates this issue. The WASD mod automatically removes Alt from ping to fix it. But since Patch 6 this does not suffice anymore. You have to bind ping to some key other than Alt to fix it now. I will implement a fix in the WASD mod with the Patch 7 release.
