Removes the player-only restriction of resurrection spells (including Scroll of Revivify), allowing you to resurrect any NPC–both ones that you/others have killed and NPCs who spawned dead.

✸ THIS HAPPENS WHEN YOU RESURRECT SOMEONE

  • NPCs that are inherently hostile to you will initiate combat with you as soon as they're resurrected (with a few exceptions where the NPC runs in panic around without being explicitly hostile).
  • It seems like NPCs that were initially friendly will not recognize you as an enemy and will not attack.
  • If friendly or neutral, the NPC walks around and acts like it did when it was alive (if it ever was), saying the occasional overworld voice line (if it ever had one).
  • The NPC will stay at 1 HP unless healed by someone else, and will not immediately cast a healing spell on itself like a normal NPC exiting combat will.

✸ DISCLAIMER ✸

  • Due to what I assume is some in-game flagging/tagging that occurs when an NPC is classified as "dead" in-game, resurrecting it makes it permanently non-interactable. As such, this mod is largely uselessfor your own peace of mind by bringing back NPCs who were accidentally—or deliberately—killed, or because you want the pleasure of killing an already dead NPC yourself.
  • I don't know whether resurrecting certain story-important NPCs will have any serious game-breaking implications since I haven't played around with it too much, so use it at your own discretion. It's very likely that once an NPC dies, the game registers that NPC as permanently gone, and resurrecting it won't revert quest progress or the world state. You will have to use the Script Extender console to revert these changes. I won't be able to help you with that, but there are several examples made by other users in the comments.
  • This mod isn't compatible with other mods that change the way resurrection spells and effects work. If it's not working, place this mod further down in the mod load order so that it isn't overwritten by something else.

✸ INSTALLATION WITH BG3 MOD MANAGER

  • Start BG3 Mod Manager and press "Open Mods Folder" in the top bar, or press Windows + R and type %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods\.
  • Open "ResurrectAnyone.zip" and place "ResurrectAnyone.pak" in the Mods folder that just opened.
  • Refresh the mod list in BG3 Mod Manager by pressing F5, and move the mod from inactive mods to active mods in the mod manager window (pretty sure load order doesn't matter with this one).
  • Click "Save Load Order to File" in the top bar.
