If someone wanted to go about uninstalling this mod without having to mess up their entire character, how would they go about that...? asking for a friend...
No, but seriously. Should I like maybe do withers to change my class away from warlock then uninstall? then just respec again? whats the recommendation here.
Recommendation is to not do it, if you care about your save at all. There's a good chance that the game will just crash as soon as you try to load a save without the mod data anyway.
it happened to me too and here's how I fixed it: Downgrading the subclass mod to before the update, in this case 1.5.1 version, and removed compatibility framework, loaded an earlier savefile that was still on that version of the mod, respec'd into another class, then updated undead warlock to current version, added Compatibility framework and respec'd into undead warlock seems to have fixed this issue. Lost some progress, but at least my save file can be continued!
oh god is that really the only fix for this? I wanted to uninstall this mod and so I wanted to respec to not like, break my class, I assume, but I've been crashing every time I try and respec. Mod author should put that as a warning in the mod desc. ugh.
Enemies sometime don't seem to roll a save throw against Dread; I dont get to see the save throw- the one time I saw them do it, it was labelled a DC10 but my spell casting DC was 16 so it should have been a DC16; is it a visual bug?
Since today's update, it seems the game crashes if you try to respec an Undead Warlock character, but doesn't crash if the character isn't an undead warlock!
also having this problem, and I do have compatibility frame work. does this mod need to be loaded before or after anything in particular? If it matters, I also have animate undead ++, undeath feat, necromancy expanded, and arcanist feat.
I do have Compatibility Framework and script extender! I tried removing all my other mods to see if they were the problem, still crashing. I tried without CF, still crashing. I even tried repairing my game and reinstalling mods and script extender, still crashing! I have no idea what causes this to be quite honest
EDIT!!! for those having the same problem; I think I figured it out. the undead warlock mod updated to include Compatibility Framework, so both of those got installed mid save. Downgrading the subclass mod to before the update, loaded an earlier savefile, respec'd into another class, then updated and respec'd into undead warlock seems to have fixed this issue. Lost some progress, but at least my save file can be continued!
so whenever i try to deactivate/uninstall this mod and continue my run my game keeps crashing. Is there a specific way to uninstall the mod or can you not uninstall it mid run? and i did made sure to respec my tav before uninstalling
Loving the mod, the only thing I'm wondering is if Dread actually has the enemy roll a wisdom save. I've never seen it fail to frighten a target I hit, and the combat log doesn't show a save roll.
