In this wizard tradition, intel is the most valuable commodity. Necrobrokers join necromancy with divination, using souls and auguries to extract even the most guarded secret from their targets.
Lore — The Necrobroker is a loose BG3 interpretation of Valkrana's tabletop build and strategy. In seeking to gather and control information, Valkrana defaults to urchins and skeletons as her main mundane means, which can then be used in efforts such as espionage or running a printing press to further the Cause. In terms of magic, Valkrana makes heavy use of spells like Scrying, Sending, Detect Magic, True Seeing, and Detect Thoughts; Sending rarely goes unprepared. What's more, she has in her possession the Staff of Souls, an artifact which grants her the ability to collect the memories of nearby souls at the time of death. Valkrana's Command Undead is permanently applied to a phylaskia—an imposing undead with innate truesight and knowledge of all languages. -> Valkrana's Discord

Skeletal Reconnaissance
You've developed skeletons purpose-made for mundane intel gathering. Once per short rest, you can summon a Skeletal Scout familiar. Notable features include Shadowblend, Seek Invisibility, and unlike other familiars, the ability to traverse tight spaces, such as burrows.
Arcane Intel
You add the Detect Thoughts spell to your spellbook if it is not there already, which is always prepared, and have proficiency in Insight if you didn't have it already.

Fugue Network — Deep Soul Secret
You add the Valkrana's Soul Secret spell to your spellbook if it is not there already, which is always prepared. In addition to its other effects, when you cast Valkrana's Soul Secret, you do so without verbal components, and can maintain invisibility with a successful Stealth check.
Valkrana's Soul Secret — 2nd-level necromancy spell
You ply a gray network, using spirits from the Fugue to extract a secret from even the most guarded soul. Each creature in a 15-foot radius of a point within 60 feet must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or have its soul exposed. A creature that fails its save takes 3d6 necrotic damage and can't benefit from invisibility or Sanctuary for the one-minute duration (concentration). Creatures with an Intelligence of 3 or lower, or that don't otherwise have a soul, are unaffected by this spell.
Fugue Network: Incisive Secrets
You know how and when to best wield intel. Once per creature per turn, when you or your Skeletal Scout divest a creature of its invisibility, Sanctuary, or protective illusions, that creature must succeed on an Intelligence saving throw or be Undermined* for 2 turns.
*Mechanically, Dazed, but can be applied to those normally immune.
Fugue Network: Read Soul
When a non-summon creature dies nearby, you misappropriate memories from its soul. On a successful DC15 Intelligence check, you glean knowledge or experience that grants you advantage on your next ability check or attack roll. Not all creatures have souls.

Invoke Intel Hoard dispelling Mirror Image, cloaker phantasms, and invisibility.

Invoke Intel Hoard
You hoard intelligence like a dragon hoards gold. When brought to bear, your collection of secrets both magical and mundane is enough to pierce deceptions. You gain the Invoke Intel Hoard ability, which you can use once per long rest. Upon activation, all neutral and hostile creatures within 60 feet are stripped of any protective illusions, illusory effects in the area are dispelled, and shapechangers have their true forms revealed. For the one-minute duration that follows, this effect persists but is limited to your sight cone.
In addition to its obvious effects, Invoke Intel Hoard will also dispel Lorroakan's illusion vendor at Sorcerous Sundries, dispel the entrance to the Wyrmsway dungeon, and reveal a certain shapechanger throughout Act 3.

Command Undead
You can use magic to bring undead under your control, even those created by other wizards. As an action, you can choose one undead that you can see within 60 feet of you. That creature must make a Charisma saving throw against your wizard spell save DC. If it succeeds, you can't use this feature on it again. If it fails, it becomes friendly to you and obeys your commands until you use this feature again. Intelligent undead are harder to control in this way. If the target has an Intelligence of 8 or higher, it has advantage on the saving throw. If it fails the saving throw and has an Intelligence of 12 or higher, it can repeat the saving throw at the end of every hour until it succeeds and breaks free.
Requires the Command Undead mod and either Expansion or UnlockLevelCurve (for access to level 14).
Compatibility.
- Compatibility Framework required for compatibility with other modded wizard subclasses.
- Skeletal Scout compatibility added for Familiar Casting and Fixes.
- Invoke Intel Hoard made for semi-dynamic compatibility, with explicit compatibility added for 5e Spells, Homebrew Spells, Xara's Spellbook, Advanced Tabletop Spells, and Cosmic Spell Sorcery.
