not sure. the only mods I used are:
      improved graphics: https://www.nexusmods.com/alienisolation/mods/19
      Alias isolation: https://github.com/aliasIsolation/aliasIsolation/releases

The game's original Noise texture is very ugly, the Black and White Film Grain option is recommended as it better and is
more true to the look of the films

Should we turn “Film Grain Intensity” in the games menu all the way down so there’s no 2 film grain algos interfering with each other?

Also, have CA disabled in-game as Alias Isolation requires it off, but CA from Alias Isolation should also be turned off correct (have both CA and Sharpening off)? As CA isn't supported at all?

the game's own film grain code is skipped entirely with this mod enabled so the value of that slider should make no difference.

I couldn't get alias isolation's own CA working cause of some issue with upgrading render targets but that could just be an issue on my end. if turning it on breaks something it should be fairly obvious as the highlights all become clipped.

    Hey @MusaQH,

Thanks so much for the incredible work on this mod. Just installed it, alongside Reshare 6.4.1 w/ Add-On, and it successfully launches to render HDR on my AW3423DW. Issue I'm having is, no matter the preset or adjusted slider values, RenoDX seems to be blowing out highlights in almost every scene tested. With the tonemap set to "Vanilla," all highlights are preserved on objects/surfaces. To make sure there wasn't something inherently wrong, I tested both stock SDR and RTX HDR, and both properly render peak highlights.

Can anything be done to troubleshoot? I don't want to lose 1,000 nit peak brightness when warranted, but I also don't want to see most stark white surfaces/objects getting blown out! =]

For consideration, the only other mod I'm running is the PCGamingWiki-recommended "Enhanced Graphics" mod, as seen here: https://www.nexusmods.com/alienisolation/mods/34

Use the other better "Improved Graphics" as that one at least works perfectly for me with reno. And make sure you're not using any other shaders in reshade as most arent HDR compat

Any reason the game would be locked to 60FPS when using this add on ?
I check, Vsync is off.  BUT the game is locked to 60FPS when using this.

    Locked
If you are running into any issues try these first:

    • Make sure you have the game set to Borderless Windowed
    • Make sure you are running ReShade 6.4.0 or newer
    • Disable any overlays (e.g. Steam, RTSS, NVIDIA, etc)
    • Disable any other DLL injections (e.g. SpecialK)
    • Disable RTX HDR (it shouldn't enable with the mod, but disable it just to be sure)
    • Disable ReShade shaders (they usually aren't compatible with HDR anyway)
    • Disable other mods (this mod should be compatible with mostly everything though)

Not sure why but this reshade addon seems to be giving me fps dips and stuttering fairly often.  I tested it several times with and without this.  Not sure why it could be?  Using a rtx 3070ti

Update coming soon, I'm currently overhauling the entire mod. Sorry for the delay, I originally didn't plan to release this mod until much later as I needed time to learn and better understand graphics programming. This overhaul will make the code a lot easier to update. Once it's done I'll continue my playthrough. My intention is to play through the entire game so that I can catch all the points at which it breaks.

    EDIT: Update is out

Great mod, found it very bright though so reduced shadow slider from 50 to 30 and got better results
