Version 1.2 is up! thanks to CyborgArmGun ^^

    textures changes:
Fixed brown spot on eyesoftblue.dds in photoshop, and it now blends.
Argonian and Orc Eyes have higher res lash Alpha taken from the Human/Elf eyes.
Argonian eyes have flat white alphas as they have no lashes in game.
eyeelvessaphire.dds - > eyeelvessapphire.dds to match Typo fix in esp.
    "HumanEyes" series have had their names zero-padded. "HumanEyes1" - > "HumanEyes01"
Updated to BC7 with NVIDIA Texture Tools Exporter.

    plugin changes:
Wrong FormID vs Names conflicts fixed.
FemaleEyesHumanDarkBrown for female human was marked for Argonians, and has since been corrected back to human.
    FemaleHumanEyes24DUPLICATE has been deleted.
MaleHumanEyes20 has been properly named such, and several number order issues have been corrected to reflect their texture set assigned.
FemaleHumanEyes23 is also correctly named for its texture set.
"HumanEyes" series have had their names zero-padded.
"HumanEyes1" - > "HumanEyes01" etc, and should now load in order in RaceMenu and ECE.
All EyeElvesSaphire instances have been renamed to ElvesSapphire as two P are the correct spelling.

Is the Elves Edition already included in the main file. I installed the Elves Edition after the main file and I still got the old elves eyes

Any and all issues, see my (now old) comment) about installation, load order, etc.

Still works if you follow the instructions in my old post.

Mod page can def use an update, but for now, I'm yer (self appointed) guy for using this mod properly :P

EDIT:  OR, use the Eyes Of Beauty AI, which appears to be a fully updated version of this mod

I removed this mod from my mod list. People almost look like blind people or really old people with cataract, even more when the have bright blue or green eyes because they have way too much specular. I don't use ENB and it only happens with this mod enabled.

The files mentioned in the description do not appear on the downloads tab and the files that do appear are not mentioned in the description. So I have no idea what to install or the load order required, what a mess.

I second this. I don't know if the latest files are replacers or standalone and if the elves edition include elf eyes for elves only or lets other races use elf eyes.

First I've been using EOB in my games and my companion mods for years in both FO4 and Skyrim LE, SE and AE. never had an issue.

Now I recently downloaded the latest version here and installed it.   A couple of days ago while working on a  mod I noticed in the CK and NifSkope that the eyes looked foggy.  Thought it was a glitch but then today I noticed it again while working on a new elf mod and so I investigated. What I noticed is that the Cube map file is over extending the iris and going in to the whites of the eyes with a lot of striation. Fortunately I have a slightly older copy of the player version of the Mod and the cubemap looks fine.  I'm going to replace the newer file with it to see what  happens.

If anyone else has had this problem, I'll post again if the older file fixes the problem. If not, I'm not sure what else to do.

    Addendum:

I just replaced the file with the older one and it cleared up the problem.  The look was interesting but I prefer the clarity of the colors, not sparks coming from the iris. It looked like a sparkler was in the eyes. So an older cube-map file will fix it if you have this problem.

Okay..... so I just want to clear a lot up. First off this mod is just all over the place and wholistically after reviewing each individual file its a really bad mod in its current state. Read my full post this mod has numerous textures that are downgraded worse vanilla textures.

The main file offered does NOT replace any of the vanilla eyes for any creatures only for humans and not all of the human eyes so argonian or elven NPCs wont use textures from this mod. The elves eye add-on is just a add-on and not a replacer. So yea like the long long comment below said you need the old NPC file. Now that said lets look at the NPC file. You see that it has over a hundred eyes. well half of those eyes are not used by vanilla so half of them waste resources and will never be used and accounts for the overlap in the main file which also does not replace vanilla eyes for non-human races. Now looking at the half that is actually used my god... okay they are 128x128 I want to put in perspective that VANILLA is 256x256. What does this mean to you? This mod is a legit downgrade in quality. The eyes are worse they are blurrier they are lower resolution they are comparably worse and they appear to be lower grade vanilla clones meaning they are vanilla eyes that were downgraded to a lower resolution and are objectively worse. Now that said there are in total 65 eyes offered that replace vanilla eyes. 36 of these eyes are actually a improvement and have a resolution of 512 which is twice vanilla and is good quality.

So what is the conclusion here? Well if you want to use this mod use both main files to get all the eye options for humans and elves but that wont replace the NPC eyes really (it will replace a few human npc eyes but thats it) so get the old NPC file v1.0 too just like the long continually bumped post below says. But that said the old NPC file has 29 eyes which are vanilla clones that were downgraded to a lower resolution making the significantly worse. Now to me all this .... confusion.. and total misshap in file organization paired with the horrible significant downgrade makes me say avoid this mod. No one should download it but that's me. im overly cautious so i mean you do you if you love the mod. My biggest concern is I hyper focused on NPC eyes and found so many issues I lost count so I dont trust the main files to work correctly - and assume they will in many cases offer a worse then vanilla experience. I cannot fathom why you would use a 29 vanilla eyes and make them worse and make a mod of it... so that said I just wouldn't use this mod.

Hello, I would like to explain a few things about this mod, especially the ones you complain about (the resolution, the eye textures for non-humanoids and about the replacement)
-First of all, this mod it is ported from skyrim to sse as well as fallout 4. That being said, this mod is not a replacement for vanilla non-humanoid eyes. This according to the way of installing the mod, you can replace it or add it. ''Feature: - New eye texture, mostly heterochromia, for Human, Argonian, Elf, Khajiit, Orc. - Standalone, this mod WILL ADD new eyes to the male and female player character AND/OR replace the vanilla eyes, depending on what you install. - Friendly traditions. Brighter unique eyes for Elves available as well as darker ones. ''You have it in the same mod description, you have to read stuffand know how to install stuff to replace the vanilla ones.
-Secondly, the eye textures are NOT vanilla textures, they are textures made different from vanilla.
-That being said, I would like to explain something to you about resolutions. The eye textures are taken at a higher resolution than what you download, why is this being done? Well I'll explain it to you since I also work making textures. The base is always taken from a higher resolution, in order to later resize the image. Let it be clear that resolution does not mean quality. And this is noticeable in the vanilla eyes, they are bigger but have a lousy quality, because this is due to the pixels of the image. That is, the quality of the image depends on the pixels per inch (dpi) and not on the resolution (which is the total size of the length x width) In short, I can have the size of an image in 128x128px and have 300 dpi in that image and the size will still be 128x128 px. I can show you if you want 3 images of the same size in 4k and with different dpi in each one, so you can see that it is the dpi that determines the quality of an image. So the sizes of the mod's eye textures are fine. And I would like to ask you one thing, why do you want the textures of the eyes to have a higher resolution if they have better quality?
-Third, as you say, it doesn't replace (obviously it's a bug in your installation because I see the eyes replaced) But, you can rename the files yourself and replace the vanilla files.
-Lastly, if you don't like this mod, could you give an alternative, as I only see some reviews that are actually wrong. Since you associate resolution with quality and you are definitely wrong in your way of installation when you say that it does not replace vanilla eyes.
Here I leave you some alternatives even if they are a waste of resources and above all performance, since (for example) larger textures like 1k/2k/4k will not be appreciated more than in screenshots or in character creation. They are great for people who do (for example) capture images for mods or gifs or who make game series more focused on the realism of the series, that is, cinematographic, to play normally, it doesn't even show.

The Eyes of Beauty - Ai Remastered                    The Eyes of Beauty - Vampire Eyes AI Remastered - Standalone

And this, for those who have that user problem that does not replace vanilla eyes.
The Eyes Of Beauty SSE - All Races Patch (Including Vampires - Excluding Beast Races)
      Enjoy! ;)

      And to finally finish,
I write something big that clearly puts in the description.
**You can install one or several packages. If you want player eyes AND NPC eyes, you'll need to install BOTH.**

Well the eyes in the game don't look a damned thing like the ones in the pictures on here. They are either black and sparkly, or highly reflective, so bright that they don't look natural at all. The ones in the mod pictures look great, but they aren't what I've ended up with in game.

I don't think this is an Eyes of Beauty issue, but I'm here because I use this mod and to see if anyone has come across this problem.  I've spent three days trying to figure out what's going on.  I created an NPC overhaul for women and the sclera of the eyes is very white and flat.  I am assuming I have something overwriting a texture, but I can't, for the life of me figure it out.  See image.

    Spoiler:
    Show

    1.  I thought it was maybe changes I made in RaceMenu with the AIO slider as well as the eye ground, but adjusting for those didn't work.

    2.  I did find missing eyebrown_n and _sk textures from the mod for some strange reason, but when I added them back in and made sure the NPCs were reading them, that didn't work.

    3.  I don't change the eye textures in CK or SSEEdit because for some reason, the NPC eyes stop moving.  So, I only add the main eye texture to the head nif.  But, adding in the rest of the eye textures into the head nif still didn't fix that problem.

    4.  Because me and only one other person so far are having this issue, I'm assuming there's a mod or texture that is overwriting.  I just can't find what it is.  I'm wondering if anyone has come across this before and figured it out.

It's not the end of the world since not many people are having this issue with my mod, but it's starting to get on my nerves because I can't find the issue.

Any help, ideas, or thoughts are appreciated.

Hmm... if that’s not a very high ENB eye lighting power or subsurface scattering, it’s really weird <.< Did you make sure you have all the eye maps with correct paths?? Like... the eye reflections under textures\effects for example...
Honestly I have no idea XD It never happened to me before >.<‘

I thought it was an ENB issue too, at first.  But a downloader claimed he didn't have an ENB at all.

Yes, I've rehashed all the eye textures several times over.  Honestly, I used Pandorable's method of eye textures.  She just adds the main texture in the head nif.  She uses the same eye mod.  The rest stay as vanilla.  Though, I did test it out by adding all the eye texture, mapping them from the mod itself correctly, but still had the problem.  Because it's just me and someone else so far, I'm assuming that it's a conflict somewhere.

But I'm assuming if the paths were wrong or something, that it would affect everyone, right?

I'm not getting any complaints but one person, but because I can see it too, it's bugging the heck out of me lol.

    Install help:

For people new to this mod, or noticing how the recent update has fewer files, I looked into it.

1- The Eyes of Beauty main file includes 40 some odd eyes for Argonians, Kahjit, etc.
2- The Eyes of Beauty Elves Edition does not show any conflicts with File 1, so it is IN ADDITION TO the main file.

So grab both and install them.  Override any other mods like Total Character Makeover, etc. etc. etc.

3- The Eyes of Beauty NPC Edition (now in the old files) has 91 conflicts with The Eyes Of Beauty main file (all elves, kahjit and argonian), as well as 76 conflicts with mods like Total Character Makeover, including the normal blue, grey, green, hazel, etc. colors used by humans in the game.

This is the odd thing, which raises the questions left un-answered.  Those 76 conflicts with TCM, which touches vanilla eyes, and NPC eyes do NOT all show the same conflicts within The Eyes of Beauty main file (from brown to green to bloodshot eyes, etc.  Basically everything a human uses is NOT showing any conflict)

This suggests that the new main file does NOT contain NPC eyes.  Or at least not all of them.

So I downloaded all three files and put them in this Load Order:

Eyes Of Beauty NPC - Eyes Of Beauty Elves - Eyes Of Beauty.  All of them overriding other mods like TCM, CBBE, etc.

The result is what it was before.  Both PC and NPC's have the eyes of beauty.  I've not seen any missing textures or weird eye effects.

So whether or not the old NPC edition is needed is, in my opinion, still worth getting, as it appears to have the only versions of "normal" NPC eyes used by NPC's.

Get all 3.  Get the load order correct.  You are good to go.

This is wrong. You only need the main non-elven file to replace player and NPC eyes. The elven version adds more elven choices for player creation, doesn't touch NPC's. Old file NPC NOT needed. They are old for a reason. If you prefer the old, then use only the old, not the newer main version/s.

I studied the file structure, and it seems like I can shed some more light into this. The newest version contains both PC and NPC eyes, but some NPC eye textures are indeed missing there and only included in the old NPC version. According to the change log, some fixes and improvements have been carried out between the original and latest version. You can also check for yourself that the file sizes differ between these versions. Thus, the files that are only included in the old version, do not have these recent improvements. Perhaps the mod author did not have time to fix these, and thus left them out? From the comments (I have not had time to check myself yet), I suppose they are still good to go, though. This also makes it obvious that the old files need to load first, so the new version can overwrite any changes.

So sad when mod authors graciously expend so much of their talent and time, only to mess up the very simple thing like making clear instructions on how to install properly or at least what files do what...  That's how ppl get confused and start posting endlessly and getting conflicts etc.  Look at VileDirge's reply to this comment, he seems to know that this comment is giving wrong advice that takes away from the experience the author intended, yet without this comment I'd be as lost as he is because no sentence or two in the description about it..
