For details on KC's Skill-Training conflict in Block & its resolution for version 1.29.5 visit the Kay-Kat Skyrim SE page for this mod.

Katriss received an update for her own Skill-Training in Alteration in the process. They will both fill up your skill bar for that skill in exchange for a few coins. Will train you up to level 90, as per usual 5 skill level increases maximum from any Skill-Trainer in the game for every level-up the player receives.

They both filled up my skill bars, all I needed to do afterward was use that skill once more for the game to officially announce it. I used an Alteration spell like Magelight once & my Alteration skill went up a level. For KC I found a Sabretooth which I used to block with my shield just once & my Block skill rose by one level also.

Sorry for the inconvenience in Skill Training, & lack of because of that conflict. Modding, we're bound to bump into one anothers' creative work in our attempts at bettering the Skyrim world we strive to fix, change, mold, adapt, live in... As I often hear followers say, *Ever Onward * !

Edit - Update - Skill-Training looks good on my side

For more details on my testing for Skyrim Legendary see the Kayseey LE page post. (Only Skyrim.esm & Update.esm are required as master files)

Note that you can ask to be trained multiple times in a row, eventually the next time you level that skill by actually using it all should be as it should.

Small reminder to run FNIS again when a new skeleton version is firstly installed in your game.
If any other mod you have already uses that same skeleton then you should be fine, as long as FNIS already knows it exists.

An update is coming for Katriss, should be out within a week. It will be in OMOD format for easy install of all options, hair, eyes, 3 body types for CBBE & 3 body types for UNP too.

It will include both my followers as options for install, Kayseey also. Option in OMOD to install either or both followers at same time. One .esp either way.

This LE OMOD for version 1.29  will also include an option to install the follower(s) with a more modest impact on ram for systems with lower specs. That's an option not included for the SE version of the OMOD I recently uploaded.

There will be 3 OMOD's really. One for CBBE options only, one for UNP options only, and a third will include it all.

      * Done - OMOD for Legendary edition of Skyrim officially uploaded today. Thanks to more testing, this time through LE Creation-Kit & game-play, through summoning with scrolls and recruiting normally this latest update is thankfully due to the LE version.

      * Katriss was showing signs of being a little difficult to port back from SE to LE.
Yes I saw this Atronach magical visual effect pop up once, twice in SE but it dissipated always, or never reappeared. Thing is the LE tests showed me that this magical effect was annoyingly a bit more distracting & way too frequent. (I hadn't played in more than a year)

It was a Perk whose magical effect would for some reason appear as a kind of swirl centered on Katriss and blurring in a vortes like manner 75% or more of her body. Lit blue sprites I guess accompanied this effect. So this Perk (Atronach) was removed from her entirely in this last update.

I thought it might have been the Lightning Cloak causing this effect. Kayseey has a Frost Cloak she uses. These Cloak spells they use act as protection, so the effect has them glow a bit for 30 seconds, 35 seconds for Katriss.

      * Using scrolls to summon them Katriss was difficult again since she shows up naked when a scroll is used to summon her for that very first time. KC is clothed when using her summon scroll.

As soon as Katriss accepts to follow you she'll decide on one of her own outfits to wear & put some clothes back on. You can ask to see her outfits & pick one for her yourself after that. If Katriss showing up naked is a problem for you don't use her scroll, just head down to Old Hroldan Inn to find her instead.

      * I created an option when you speak with them for you to Change Kat's Outfit, Change KC's Outfit. If they have trouble wearing stuff you give them then try this. Use the Redguard option in their outfits, they'll forego their default Redguard then wear what you give them.

Katriss will grant you access to her outfits right away but to start the quest for Katriss level 8 minimum is required. Kayseey's quest may begin anytime but Kayseey will want you to complete begin her quest first before you can choose to change her outfits.

      * I left it up to you, the player, to handle what they wear & when they wear it. So truly if preparedness is necessary for some prolonged dangerous activity it's up to you, the player, to see to it that your follower is ready. Give them armor, or let them use their own armor in their Outfit options. They do not equip their armor whenever they want.

If you've downloaded any of the 3 OMOD files for either of my two followers, Katriss above or her cousin Kayseey, the files are identical.

You can grab any of the 3 OMOD files from either of these 2 Elfish women followers. They are one & the same. (helps to know)

Could you tell me which magic effect is the one causing the magic absorb effect over her? It's constantly happening and I really don't like it. I would rather remove it myself in TES5Edit than to ask for a version without it.

Not sure which one specifically, but her full list of spells is described on the Description page. I'll leave it to you to narrow it down.

I do believe you were referring to her Lightning Cloak spell. It lasts 35 seconds. If you were talking about her Atronach Perk, yes that was buggy, appeared to be stuck to her certain times. It was removed from her in the latest version.

I'm having some trouble with her. Nothing big, when she cast's lighting instead of going to the target, it goes to the sky instead. Target still takes damage though. Is this intended or bug?

This issue I've noticed myself sometimes - to be honest, at the time, I decided to leave well enough alone. Like you said, not a game breaker. Odd to see lightning head up to the sky sometimes, mind you, but still effective nonetheless. There was no tweaking done on my part for this strange occurrence. I presumed the game mechanics were just adapting the spell to work in that way for whatever quirky modded reason.
(I do still doubt she would be the only character in Skyrim with this type of lightning anomaly.)

hello, i have encountered some bugs.

Sometimes when i change her outfit she stays naked.

Also, when I married her she just ran away and I can't find her anywhere now.

Katriss has her own summon spell, created for such a purpose... You can summon her back to you whenever you choose. You may also want to teleport to her yourself, just to find out where she went to. If she seems to be staying naked I would make sure her last default outfit choice was not her Birthday Suit.

An update should be out within a week for Katriss. Her behavior is being tweaked. She is originally on the timid side as georgejbps pointed out and I agree.

She will be 50% more offensive minded, attack more. Melee used about 40% more. 40% more defensive, block more. She still prefers magic first but only by a slight margin of like 8-10% above melee. Unarmed will be about 25% less likely. She is a cross class between Spellsword and Thalmor. Fights more like Spellsword but bashes like Thalmor.

Archery is now more prominent and a bound bow will be added to her Conjuration spell list. Lightning Bolt may be added to her destruction spells also. Mystic Binding and Avoid Death will probably enter her perks list too.

So if you're inclined to wait for a more mature well rounded fighter then this update will be for you.
As she is now though Katriss is a bit of a novice and prefers to fight from a distance. She will attack but reluctantly may even back off rather that get too close to danger constantly. This was done to let the dragonborn take the lead so she wouldn't over-step his will. In essence she is not a leader but a follower. She gets involved but was not meant as a problem solver but rather a companion and helper.

Still working on testing the latest version, shouldn't be too long now. Here's a little more info of what's coming up. Melee will probably be slightly more prominent than magic. Her class was tweaked more efficiently to accommodate for more magicka since her spell list is sort of steep; 21 spells, if all stays put. Stay tuned - 2-17-2017.

All optional files are backward compatible, v109 and 109B just so you know. Same is true for forward compatibility.

To be considered a mage one would need to rely primarily on spells. Granted she prefers to use magic, staves, melee then ranged in that order but the only direct spell she will eventually use is paralyze and that won't happen till she hits level 75 Alteration. All other spells and magic are either for self defense as in Ironflesh, Lightning Cloak, and healing spells. Besides the paralyze spell the only other semi-offensive spells she will use are Revenant and Dread Zombie, which will occur only if there is a dead body around for her to reanimate.

I do admit she likes her magic but because she needs to keep silent so as not to be detected, her use of it was kept at a strict minimum for offensive purposes. She did surprise me however with her use of a bow. That darn bow that every companion is given by default. Silly girl, I've seen her equip and hold that bow but I also know she has no arrows in her inventory. Give her some since she also likes to use a bow.

As for her attire the only protection from injury is the Eisen-Platte armor, either black or white. Any other of her default clothing choices offer no protection from harm. Except through her Mage Armor perk once she gets it. (Protection spells like Stoneflesh are 2, 2.5, and 3 times as strong if not wearing armor. Lvl. 30, 50, 70 Alt.) In her case really useful since she will receive Oakflesh, Stoneflesh, Ironflesh, and Ebonyflesh depending on her Alteration level.

When I first got her, we went out on a trip to fort Graymoor, were there are 5 bandits always waiting for some schnook passerby to drop in so they can take them! At first, Kat used only her paralyzing spell, and when the bandits attacked her in force she ONLY used her fists to punch them, of course she was no match for 5 bandits with axes, swords, battle axes, bows, and 2H swords!!!!! Even though I had given her a very highly fortified and enchanted Vicious Heart Sword and Greater Sapphire Bow (enchanted/fortified) and Dardric arrows. She simply tried hitting bad guy with the paralyzing spell and fist! Even a simple Frost troll could put her on her knee! I DO have mages that are fighting warriors first and "mages" second. For me a Mage on a one-to-one fight (usually from a distance) is a good fight, but if your one against 2, 3, 4, 5 bad guys and close-in fighting, a really GOOD hack and slash (melee fighter) follower is all but totally necessary. Even the "relentless Force" shout only knocks the bad guys back for awhile but their right back up and in your face very quickly! There are a few mods that( and I have one) put 12 VERY strong bad guys on you. Usually its 3-5 of them just outside a cave then 7-9 of them in the cave and they are all attacking at the same time. IF you not fully protected, and swinging 2, highly fortified and enchanted swords AND you are fast enough you are gonna get killed!
FINALLY for some reason we were just in a bandit cave and she drew her sword! She hit the bandit with her paralyzing spell and THEN hit him with the sword. Again that takes up too much time BUT it does work a lot better than just hitting them with a fist!

I appreciate your input georgejbps and will analyze her combat behavior more thoroughly myself too. Mostly Katriss was initially tested with a small group of followers around her most of the time. Her personality needs looking into, check. I'll give her the runaround and bring Kayseey along too, my other companion, just the three of us. We'll see more in depth what motivates these two gals and then bring them to the shrink for some warranted psychological therapy.
