This mod is closest to what I've been looking for, but not quite.
What I have been looking for is a mod that removes the Red and Green pie slices from the Compass ONLY, leaving them only on the Maps (Both the local area and the Fast Travel map (on PC: press F4 and it's the first two tabs)), while leaving the Player-placed (and removable) blue one alone.
I know I'm about 13 years late on this, but if you only transfer the "Hud" folders into the respective menu folders and not the "Map" folders it should do just that, allow you to see the red and green markers on maps but not on compass.
Unfortunately that didn't work for me. I moved only the HUD folders but the quest markers disappeared from both the map and the compass, presumably because by replacing the marker's textures with transparent ones they become invisible everywhere. Thankfully I did manage to achieve this using Map Marker Overhaul.
Works nicely, had trouble installing tho (probably because of some other disabled mod, likely darnfield ui) If you have trouble getting this to work use obmm to create omod and install it. Before I start, I never leave comments, ever. I'm just so exuberant that my one dream of having a non-quest marked Oblivion has been fulfilled. Thank you.

Anyone know how to make this mod do so? Please?
