Yeah this definitely is not it. The one I use has the hideout and yokuda. The ship can be sailed around like manually (even though it turns way too fast), actually doing all the Stirk quests from that mod and have my ship docked next to Jafan's ship. Everyone is wearing pirate clothing though if I remember you have to download another mod as a resource for that. There are quests to upgrade the hideout, recruit two other ships though sending them out is kind of buggy, either they return instantly or sometimes never. There's a "skiff" you can fly around in that is a retextured Halo Banshee and the Master Chiefs armor. Big quest on Yokuda to infiltrate a castle and everything is also in the main Tamriel worldspace so you can actually travel conventionally between the islands, hideout, etc. Each time you go out you travel in stages, hit a merchant ship or fight the navy, rendevous with other pirate ship and trade info, rescue castaways or get in a broadside cannon fight with an Imperial warship, etc.
would you still happen to have a copy of the aaaJNF pirate isles? i've been looking for a copy for ages! so far i've only managed to find a russian translation that's impossible to understand haha. it would be much appreciated if you could pm me a copy :)
edit: i have a copy of this now and am willing to share, pm me if you want a link :)
If I may humbly inquire, as the others are, please may I have a copy of this version you speak of? I have been searching high and low for quite a while now, is it possible to at least disclose a means to ascertain the mod if you are unable to PM me one?
Like a link to the aaajnf version as well, but instead of sending pm, perhaps be better to post a another site link that way when people google searching for the mod, they have it ready then cause I been searching for this mods for over a year.
I know I must be stupid because when I install the islands are invisible from distance and only the lod of floating rocks is visible until I reach the islands up close then the terrain becomes visible.
I just can figure out what I'm doing wrong, I had no issues getting multiple new land mods like Valenwood and Deserts to work together with countless compatibility patches for compatibility patches in a "perfect harmony of mathematical precision" but yet despite my sincerest efforts I have not been able to get this mod to work as far as distant land/ terrain is concerned?
incase any of u didnt know, this mod has been dead for a few years, and dark soul doesn't seem to be responding to any emails. theres been a new version created (not by dark soul) its fixed most, if not all of the bugs, and adds a whole lot of new features to an already great mod. if you liked dark soul's version of the mod then you will love this one - http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28290
The link is not available anymore sadly :( Do you have other link for the newer version? This mod is superb, unfortunately it stopped development so I would love to try out the newer one with more features. Thanks!
i need help... i started quest in avnil. Quest say ask ppl for pirates (or something like that ) i ask person and he tell they are in anvil docks at midnight im search them whole day in docks but cant find i hope some1 help me
Thanks for this version, I have only one issue: when after a loot scene and the opponent ship is defeated, it takes a small lag period before I can move one and I am stuck in the ship lagging. But it is bearable as long as I do not do anything else in the game, including fast travel, other quests, exploring tamriel, etc.
Your other version that was updated and amazing was easier on my machine then this version, I must lightly add.
As much as I miss rescuing that pirate captain from the ruins and using a potion to get him out of an alternate reality, at least you left up this version. That recruitable captain from the other version who was stuck in an alternate reality was literally the first guy I fell in love with.
Thanks for this mod.
Edit: I found the said character in this version that I speak of, sorry for no playing it through enough to see that he is indeed in here. Aside from what I initially addressed, I have few other issues with this mod. I would also wonder if the ability to port in mainland after finding the sextant. Even without all that, I still like to be able to do pirate stuff in oblivion, thanks.
So 1.0? Is that the version that's got the plugin "aaaJNF-&-DS-Pirate-Isles-Beta.esp". So that's the one I got. Is that the same mod as this one or something considered an adaptation. Sounds like the same mod as this one but maybe was removed for some reason as someone else was picking it up? Also the download here is waaay smaller.

probably not meant to share it like this but idc, this mod is awesome and i think it deserves to be shared to whoever wants to play it.
