Capped Bandits, Marauders and Highwayman

This mod prevents bandits, marauders and highwaymen from spawning with high quality weapons and armor (elven or better). Some details:

The best equipped bandits and highwaymen will wear chainmail and use steel weapons.
The best equipped bandit ringleaders will wear mithril and use silver weapons.
The best equipped marauders will wear dwarven armor and use steel weapons.
The best equipped marauder warlords will wear orcish armor and use dwarven weapons.

Like vanilla Oblivion, the equipment used by these opponents depends on the level of the player character. Compared to vanilla, the levels the player must reach for bandits, marauders and highwaymen to update their gear are substantially higher. See the gear progression table for the specifics.


Installation/Uninstallation:

Place CappedBMH.esp inside your data folder and activate it. Remove the .esp file from your data folder to uninstall.

This mod modifies the inventory of generic bandits, marauders and highwaymen. Any other mod that does the same thing will therefore be incompatible.

It is worth-mentioning that no vanilla levelled list was altered by this mod. Instead, new levelled lists were created from scratch in order to implement the changes mentioned in the description. This has two advantages: first, it prevents the inventories of other NPC from being unintentionally affected by this mod. Secondly, it allows the player to install mods that change the levelled lists that bandits, marauders and highwaymen used to share with other NPCs in the vanilla game...without removing the changes added by this mod.
