LUSH & GAUDY TROPICAL FRIPPERY 1.1
  -----------------------------------------------

Welcome to v1.1 of the billionth installment of all things lush and obscenely gaudy.

This is a texture replacement for trees, shrubs, long grasses, rocks, and ground covers.

As usual, there are three resolutions to choose from.  High (2048x2048), Medium (1024x1024), and Low (512x512 - comparable to Vanilla Oblivion for retarded computers.)

v1.1 brings much softer colours, more regional variety, and infinitely better regional transitions.  The Jerall Mountains have returned to their snowy roots, the Colovian Highlands have dried out, there's even a patch of Autumnal colour, and the GC makes a return to the Outback.  In-between that, there is enough tropical frippery and deserts to please even the most anal consumer.

The main Lush & Gaudy Tropical Frippery.esp file MUST be activated for this mod to work properly.  It won't clash with any other mods you might be running and unlike the nightmare esp files of Floriana Gloria, this one is small and simple, but still makes a few vital changes.  (All of which are explained further down if you really want to get picky.)

The Palms esp files 1 and 2 are technically optional, but I personally consider them to be stylistically vital.  Together they add an insane number of palm trees to the game.  Without them, you're not looking quite so tropical, are you?

There's a nice little Viagra (low poly) grass pack for those of you with performance issues.

In addition, there is now an optional L&G CH Trees pack which will help fill out the rather bare parts of the Colovian Highlands (the removed trees were due to my inability to find a tree type to replace the white pines which were shared across too many regions to work stylistically.)  Please be aware that you MUST use  TES4LODGen by ElminsterAU which can be downloaded here:  http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/15781/?   (Please remember to endorse.  It's a great tool.)

Hopefully a few of you will enjoy having a stroll through this infernal creation.

  TO INSTALL
  --------------

1:)  Copy the Data folder to your Oblivion directory.  If asked to over-write any existing files, say yes.

2:)  Activate the Lush & Gaudy Tropical Frippery.esp file.  (If you're planning to use the Lush and Gaudy Palms.esp files, activate both of them too at this point.)

3:)  If you plan to use the Viagra grass, copy that Data folder to your Oblivion directory.  If asked to over-write any existing files, say yes.

4:)  Do a BSA Redirection with a tool like OBMM if you're feeling sanitary.  Skip it if you're not.

  5:)  Play.

6:)  Multiple choices from here on:

A:  Tell mod author how mod should have been done.
B:  Tell mod author mod was lovely.
C:  Do neither of the above.
D:  Fuck up your installation and demand help from mod author.
E:  Decide it's utterly repulsive and too gaudy and un-install it without a word.
F:  Decide it's dandy and keep it installed without a word.
G:  Decide it's Elysium and worship mod author.
H:  Wonder if there's any possibility that choice G will ever be chosen.
  I:  Stop Reading.
  J:  Re-read choice I and get lost.

GLITCHES / FLAWS / ALL THAT GHASTLY SHIT
  --------------------------------------------------------

Major flaw:  The trees have no collision.  I can't fix it, so don't complain.  Or better yet, fix it yourself.

Major flaw:  There's only a few tree types.  I couldn't find any others that suited this look, so stiff titty.  Wear it.

Minor flaw:  Some of the tree leaves drape low to the ground in places and poke into the odd hill.

Minor flaw:  My normal maps stink.  Nothing new there.

Major flaw:  My distant landscape is revolting, vile, terrible, awful, hideous, sickening, disturbing, tacky, shocking, shitty.  Also nothing new.

Major flaw:  Tree trunks poking out of the ground in some places.

Major flaw:  Some ground textures don't blend together properly in places.

  ---------------------------------------------------------
WHAT DOES THAT QUESTIONABLE ESP FILE DO?
  ---------------------------------------------------------

The Lush & Gaudy Tropical Frippery.esp file does the following:

It controls (and changes from Vanilla) which long grasses are associated with which ground textures for varying regions.  Without this, I wouldn't have the right grasses in the right areas in many cases.  It also adds a lot more grasses to the Jerall Mountains.

It re-scales the distant trees so that they match the tree models I used / swapped.  Without this, you'd have distant trees that were either too big or too small compared to the close-range ones.

It swaps a few ground textures around to achieve the right balance for certain areas.  Without this, it'd simply look like shit.

It also makes life that little bit more painful.

  ----------

The Lush and Gaudy Palms and Lush and Gaudy Palms Part 2 esp files do the following:

They add thousands of palm trees to various regions in the game.  The reason for having two separate files is simply because the original one was getting too large and I was dubious as to its stability.

  COMPATIBILITY
  -------------------

Here comes the usual line:  This should work splendidly in combination with Qarl's textures or any other texture replacement (well...ones that don't concentrate on the same shit mine does.)  Just be sure to install this monster LAST / over the top.

If you want the superior fungus found in Improved Trees and Flora by Mikal33, then install that BEFORE you install L&G TF.

This mod also has built-in compatibility with AliveWaters by Windsurfer and Harvest Flora mod by Quarn and Dejunai.

No idea how this will look with the Unique Landscapes, but it will technically 'work'.

  -------------------------------------
IS IT MEANT TO BE REALISTIC?
  -------------------------------------

    Rarely.

  BULRUSHES?
  ---------------

    Bah!  You can't have them!

I'd be lost without it.  My eternal thanks, Momo!

Again, absolutely essential.  Thank you ever so much, Tamira!

  Me.  (Damn you.)

  MAY I?
  --------

Please eviscerate this at your leisure.  Take any part you please and do whatever you like with it.  Put it in other games.  Put it on any website you want.  Mangle it.  Improve it (that wouldn't be hard).  Masturbate over it.  You name it.

The only comment I will make about what I'd like to see done with it is that it ought to remain FREE.

Credit is awfully fetching but completely unnecessary.
  Enjoy.

  FACT
  ------

I loathe 90% of my mods in retrospect and only seem to like the ones I put less effort into (Demonic Frippery, Water, etc.)

  SCARPER

I've said it before and I'll say it again:  This is the point where you kindly fuck off.
