    If you are unhappy with any of these updates: dig through the archive yourself and replace stuff. It's open to all users, and that
    will cost you far less time than it will be for me to move backwards on
    stuff that I'm already happy with. I will not spend a bunch of time to
    regress from updates, so please do not ask.


    The success of this pack will likely determine how frequently I keep up with uploading for New Vegas. This was very much a labor of love, but entailed a monstrous amount of work.

    If you like the mod, or appreciate any of the work being done here, downloading and endorsing the mod does wonders for motivation.

    IMPORTANT:
    If you have the original FNV Clean Animations - Part 1 installed, it must be uninstalled before installing this mod, or you will encounter problems.

    Q: One or more of these reloads are too fast!
    A: None of them are. You either have high Agility and/or Rapid Reload. They make animations look ugly. Vanilla animations were already ugly, so you never noticed.

    Q: Not realistic and/or lore-friendly!
    A: I don't care. I don't like guns. I'm not invested in Fallout lore in any capacity.

    Q: When is Part 2 coming?
    A: Eventually. Now that this is done, I can finally focus on it. I want to release a few more heavy weapons and get the Point Lookout stuff covered first, though.

    Q: I don't like some of the changes you made.
    A: You can still use the original animations, then.

    Q: What is wrong with the Laser Pistol and Rifle - No Attack Recoil file?
    A: You lore-heads wanted these weapons to not have recoil--so I included files where they have absolutely no recoil, just like you asked. To ensure the best possible experience for your long-awaited no recoil attacks on your energy weapons that FNV animators have neglected for years, I made it so that you cannot fire until roughly 1 second has passed. This allows you to fully appreciate the lack of recoil in all of its glory.

    This is to say that these are Aim.kf files that have been renamed and have had attack text keys applied to them.

    If this looks stupid to you, maybe you should consider that animation is more than just adhering to fictional lore/the exact, specific machinery of firearms, and has actual principles that make it look good.

    In case it isn't abundantly clear by now: don't use these. I purposefully made them not gameplay friendly. It's a joke.

    Q: That's not how the bolt works!
    A: Go read the description, worm. Also, obligatory: guns are stupid, and I don't care.

    Q: The Infiltrator takes up too much of the screen! Will you fix it?
    A: No. I think 8 reload animations is quite enough work for this set. Use the scope. It's what that gun is for. I realize it's egregious, but I'm not about to make an entirely different set of animations just to lower the gun a little bit. Sorry.

    Q: What's the difference between this and the original FNV Clean Animations/FNV Clean Animations - Part 1?
    A: The description and showcases should make that immediately apparent. Do some reading.

    Q: What FOV should I use?
    A: Should be fine with whatever disgustingly high FOV you want to use, butlower FOVs are always going to look better, which is kind of the point
    of these animations, no?

    Q: Will you make third-person animations?
    A: No.

    Q: Will you apply these to other vanilla weapons/mod-added weapons?
    A: No. If you do a little bit of reading and have Notepad on your computer, though, you can do make and release patches yourself.

    Q: I don't like this style of animation. Will you change it?
    A: No.

    Q: Will you make animations for me?
    A: No. Sorry.

    Q: Can you help me start animating?
    A: There are some old resources here if you want to be like myself and hitman and use blender 2.49b. As usual, I have also provided my own .blends here if it's less overwhelming to simply tweak my animations. If you want to join the modern age and use up-to-date versions of blender like the rest of the animators do, you're better off contacting them. But, if you go the old-school route, I'll help you out to the best of my ability/as much astime allows (which I cannot promise is very much).

    • most of the animations work fine but the aiming animation doesn't seem to be present. While aiming it just snaps to ironsights like in vanilla. did I install wrong??

    The original mod FNV Clean Animations didn't affect balance:

    "All animations adhere to vanilla timeframes. This means that balance isn't effected "

    Is this still true for this version?

      Thanks for letting me know. Then I will use the old mod instead.

      I don't care so much if some vanilla weapons have their DPS altered, but I do care if 1st person and 3rd person have different DPS for the same weapon.

    Is there a fix for reload animations using the empty reload on first reload even if there's still rounds in the mag? I have partial reload support on in Stewie's tweaks but that doesn't fix it. I've noticed this issue with other kNVSE animation mods.

      It's a bug with the current release version of kNVSE. Nothing I can do.

    Hey quick question, is this Reborn Part 1 could continue with Clean Animation - Part 2 and 3?
    because I dont see Reborn Part 2 and 3.

      That's because they didn't need to be "reborn." The original Part 1 had a very different animation style; this mod is now more consistent with the animation styles you see in Parts 2 and 3.

    The service rifle reload is missing one of the mags and it plays no sounds. I am using WAP year one pack, would that make a difference?

      Um, missing one of the mags? Does the Service Rifle from WAP have more than one mag?

      As for the sound thing: that shouldn't really impact anything, but it's weird that it's playing *no* sounds because it does, in fact, have the sounds baked into the animation file.

      Try disabling WAP to see if it fixes any of these issues. I couldn't really tell you myself, since I don't use WAP.

    I'm having trouble installing the mod through Mo2. I'm able to install the main file just fine, but when trying to install the Iron Sights Alignment, I get a pop up saying the content of <data> does not look valid. Could someone please offer some advice?

      idk if you're still having this issue but when that happens set the data folder as the data directory in that window popup. It should greenlight you.

    When I switch for another weapon it just messes up the mod and I reload super fast for some reason. pls help
