no, it says that its installing but it never finishes, and if i force close vortex the file gets corrupted so i delete it. i tried it three times and all had the same result.
I would like to apply Water Overhaul MOD made water like “Bad water” and “Terrible water” to this mod, is that possible? I don't want to use the Universal Bottle feature over there, because if use it whether it's Coke or whiskey, they're all one kind of “empty bottle.” By the way, I was able to obtain an empty bottle of Water overhaul by setting “rWater=Water Overhaul.esp:1662”.
It's possible to add, but there is the problem of needing to add an individual toggle for each item type since surely some people will want to automatically keep their syringes and such
It'll also bloat savegames the same as dropping items normally does, but that can be handled with warning text
Apologies if this was addressed somewhere already but is there a way to assign an item to be given to another consumable? To be specific I'm trying to have the empty nuka-cola bottles/soda bottles (or really any bottle) be given after drinking dirty/purified water.
Yup, you can do that in a few different ways. If for example, you want all water-assigned items to give empty soda bottles, in the INI set 'rWater' to "FalloutNV.esm:09AA4E" (without quotes)
The alternative is to edit the config text file and change all items assigned to "$water" to whatever you like -- either another keyword, or a form ID using the same format as above prefixed with an @ symbol. This is on a per-item basis however
Standard FOMOD wouldn't have INI file patching, meaning everyone's INI files would reset for every future update. Anyone not on top of updating their INI files would encounter numerous major issues as well
For now, you can set RootBuilder to a more compatible mode, or just install xNVSE normally until MO2 actually supports installing to the root folder
If you're using Mod Organizer 2, don't click "Manual".
If you did click OK, then it installed correctly. The installer doesn't have an interface since there's no real options, it's just there to manage your Food Scraps INI file for you
oh okay lol yes i use MO2. last question, im using this with ammo smith and universel water bottling, how should they apper in a load order? mine is: ammo smith food scraps food scraps ammo smith patch universal water bottling
I use MO2. Clicking OK does not actually install the mod. It does not appear in my load order after attempting to install, just let's me know that it failed. Going back to previous version until installer is fixed.
Still around, I just have less free time than I did a couple years ago, and significantly less than I did 10 years ago when I first started publishing mods
Should also mention that I went through the effort to make sure the mod is powered by easy to use text files so that anybody can add support in mere seconds, even while I'm not around

I think the Aid Addon mod has assets for empty bags and open permissions if you need a model.
Really, really cool mod btw. Thanks for sharing it.
