How to add Pip-Boy Counters to new models of Pip-Boy
The latest version of the Pip-Boy Counters has deliberately been designed to make it relatively easy to apply to new models of Pip-Boys. This can be done as such:
1. Download NifSkope 2.0. (The download link is at the bottom of the GitHub page.) 2. Download a Pip-Boy model from this modpage (such as the vanilla 3000) and open one of its corresponding NIF files in NifSkope. 3. Right-click on "##PipCntrNode" and select Block > Copy Branch. 4. Open the NIF file(s) of the Pip-Boy model you want to add the Counters to. 5. Right-click on the topmost NiNode and select Block > Paste Branch. 6. The Counter will likely need to have its position adjusted to match the model. While "##PipCntrNode" is selected, edit the values in "Translation", "Rotation" and "Scale" until you get a result that satisfies you. 7. Save.
If you did this correctly, then the Counter should at this point be ready to go. Don't forget that most Pip-Boy models come with separate NIF files for males and females, meaning that you'll have to do this separately for both!
You are welcome to upload any such edits as separate mods, as I am not planning to add any new Pip-Boy models myself.
I use Syncing's Pipboy3000 remaster but it has its own mesh, any chance of getting a patch for it? I tried doing it myself but uh...I've always been horrible with Nifskope lol...
I looked into it, but unfortunately, it appears that this model is just poorly set up in general, since it's not aligned the same way as the original model, and the female model is botched completely. Someone would need to fix it first before the Counters could be applied to it.
I found a fixed model for Syncing's pipboy here and managed to get the counters working (here's a pic) but yeah, arm clipping is really bad. Ah well nbd I'll stick with the counters for the vanilla model, I appreciate you looking into it and for this great mod as well.
hmm, after reinstalling to take a screenshot its still lower but the bottom is no longer off the screen like it was earlier. still too low for my personal tastes. here's a before/after https://imgur.com/QNwAHcY

I am having an issue with the text and images on the readus just looking broken and not showing anything. The counter shows up and all but just doesn't work.
Looking into it, it seems that i was missing IMCN for new vegas, but the author hid the file a few days ago so i am unable to obtain it. Is there any work around for this? I really wanna get this mod working.
Is the PipBoyCounters.ESP file checkmarked in a mod manager or in the launcher's Data Files? I can't think of any other reason why the textures would be missing otherwise.
i did it for myself, if anyone is interested https://www.mediafire.com/file/ol9c6g1kc2nn9iv/Pip-Boy_Counters_For_Pip-Boy_2000_Mk_VI.zip/file you need both this mod and the original pipboy 2000 mk vi, the file structure is for the replacer version, so be sure to get the "Working date and clock for replacer" optional file and increase your pipboy fov with fPipboy1stPersonFOV on the ini
is it possible to make armband pip-boy 2500a's screen glow (the glow from 1st and 3rd person while pip-boy isnt open) amber/any other color besides stock green as its own thing? i wasnt able to find anything that works except this mod. it would be completely fine but i would personally prefer a version without the counters and the amber glow only. its fine if its too much work though, id appreciate any response

fyi: using pb2501, with low fov (32) for larger screen.
The model comes from 2501's latest version and is not modified beyond adding the Counter to it, so I don't understand why this would be happening.
My best guess is that either the FOV is doing it, or perhaps some kind of animation replacer for the animation of bringing up the handheld Pip-Boy.

In addition to the latest update, I have uploaded an optional file that should fix this issue. Please make sure to update the Core Files as well.
Did you download "00 Pip-Boy Counters Core Files", as instructed on the first downloadable file?

EDIT: nevermind! using Nehred's Configurable Pip-Boy Light Color i could finally solve my issue. sorry for bothering without trying every option first! (^▽^;)
