Mod Organizer 2
Keep the current mod installation (so just dont delete it)
Download and install the new download to the same name you choosen before. Dont check 'MCM settings file' option in FOMOD.
Press 'Merge' in the last confirm box to keep your settings file (including your HUD layout).
Vortex Vortex seems to have troubles when updating the mod. So it is the best to do a uninstall and then a fresh new install (solution 1). The user ExcerptNovela have posted an excellent in-Vortex-solution you can find as solution 2. Just choose the one you find most comfortable. (The exact reason for the problems is still unknown. If some Vortex user knows more, please let me know it)

If you want to keep your HUD layout backup your settings file: "data\MCM\Settings\FallUIHUD.ini" (Just copy it to anywhere, like your desktop)
Deinstall the old mod version completely
Install the new mod version
Put your settings file with your HUD layout back to the mod. (or to its own new mod, so you can skip this step for further updates)

With FO4SE and MCM busted (at least for me, and everything I read online says that they are still busted), is there any way to configure FallUI? I have the mod installed, but the UI just looks very vanilla. Thanks
Hi. Cool mod, like it very much. Is it possible to customize character dialogue boxes with FallUI? Color, background transparency, text outline, stuff like that? I checked MCM but didn't find anything for that.
Does anyone know how to stop the status effect icons from moving to the bottom right corner? It only happens after I've fast travelled while wearing power armor. I'm on version 1.10.163.
FallUI still work as of recent Update? Doesn't use F4SE but it does use MCM which isn't a necessity for it to work but i've had weirder s#*! happen when modding this game.
That's because MCM needs to be updated. There is a new Beta released today but with an update scheduled for tomorrow on the base game, personally I would wait until after it goes live.
I hate to be THAT guy, but I have seriously tried every single fix listed in the FAQ for the HUDmenu.swf problem and nothing is working, I've been searching for days with no luck. Can anyone help me at all? I don't even have HUD framework installed at this point so I honestly don't know what the problem could possibly be.
This is what worked for me. I'm not sure how you would accomplish the same thing if you're using Vortex but for MO2: Go to the Data tab in the right hand pane (where your plugin list is) and find the Interface folder, open it and the utilized version of hudmenu.swf will show along with the mod providing it on the right. If it's not being provided by FallUI, right click on it and select Open Mod Info. Go to the Filetree tab and find the hudmenu.swf in the mod's files, right click on it and select Delete. Then go back and refresh the Data tab on the right hand pane. Keep doing this until it says hudmenu.swf is provided by FallUI.
Thanks for the reply! In my interface > Data tab in MO2, it says HUDMenu.swf is in fact being provided by Fall UI HUD with no other conflicts. Unsure what to do from here.

EDIT: OK nvm FallUI HUD by itself still allows me to start new game. Got to test others later.
Thanks

I'm having issues with this preset, some elements are extremely small, way too much that I can't even read the text in them.
Do I really need to manually change the values in the .ini file?
