    Changelog:

    v1.2:
    - More robust item binding.
    - Proper support for hotkeying Aid items in Survival mode.
    - Miscellaneous code tidying and tune-up.

    Lite version:
    - Fixed issue where users with spaces in their Documents folder would not be able to install hotkeys.

    v1.1:
    - Mod can now be installed with Nexus Mod Manager.

Existing users do not need to upgrade. If upgrading, please completely uninstall v1.0 with the uninstaller/manually and make a clean save without the mod before installing v1.1. Please make sure there are no loose files left behind. There is no need to remove/overwrite Hotkeys.ini.

Thank you so much for this mod!! As a left hand arrow key user/numpad hotkeys... .this is a dream come true.. thanks so much!! There is nothing more annoying in a game than hard coded keys lol

OK..so I open the manager, press a key I want to bind, then select the item to bind to that key? I've tried binding the baton to NumPad1... doesn't work. I'm probably not doing it right. The default setup is useless for left handed people... to reach all the way over the keyboard to press 1,2,3....binding to numpad is just so much quicker in battle situations..

Has anyone figured out this issue? I'm having the same problem with this and the outfit switcher mod even after doing a clean install and starting a new game.

That behavior is by design, I believe. You equip or use/consume the item you want to hotkey, and this mod will then remember it.
I believe the mod's script waits for the equip/use action (which consumes the items if it was a consumable) and then assigns your selected hotkey number to it.

So if you have 10 Stimpaks, and you decide to map "Hotkey 1" (say, you had specified "F1=hot 1" in the Hotkeys.ini file) using the Hotkey Manager (available in AID section of player inventory) to Stimpaks in your inventory, then your player character consumes/uses one Stimpak at the moment when you do this mapping. So for all remaining 9 Stimpaks (and any more Stimpaks you later get/add to your player inventory), that hotkey (F1, i.e., HotKey1) will work.

      But what's great is that:
      * even if you exhausted or dropped all the item instances that were mapped to that hotkey, and then pressed the hotkey, you will see a message like "Item (in this case, Stimpak) not available". The mod has remembered and reminded that you wanted to use item/Stimpak, but don't have any in your inventory.
      * the next time you get/pickup an instance of that item, the same hotkey would work with it again, without you needing to reconfigure it again - the mod persistently remembers your item and hotkey mapping. So if you used up those 10 Stimpaks, but later found some more Stimpaks, you can press F1 again to use them instantly.
      * you can always change hotkey to item setting anytime within the game, and these settings will persist across saves. Make sure you know and set up your Hotkeys.ini lines though. Console commands can be configured to work with the Hotkeys only via Hotkeys.ini.

Very late to the party here, but I think they mean when they try to use the settings items in the Aid section, instead of opening the settings portion, the game just consume the settings item as a consumable.

At least thats what I'm struggling with, and hence I'm here looking for an answer.

I've seen several "fixes" for this, like "player.setghost 0" etc, but none has worked for me so far. Quite frustrating, as I'm not able to run the hot key manager nor outfit switcher setting as the setting items in Aid are consumed and nothing else is happening, and it frustrates the heck out of me xD

Is it possible to set the console command key to something else, like F1 for example?

so as a guess id say NumPadEnter or NumPadReturn since iCue names the key KPEnter. And thats also why i dont think you can find a full list since there are no standart names for keyboard keys for example i have mapped mapped numpad 1 to a button on my mouse. so ive mapped KP1 (in icue) to MB5 and if i use that button in cyberpunk it shows as NUM1 while in civilisation its Numpad 1 and this mod calls the key NumPad1.

I was looking for someone who had similar problems but couldn't find one. When I try to use hotkeys, I get a message that I didn't link it. When I use a throwable, through the "Melee And Throw" mod, I receive the message and despite this it works. When I use the B key, from the "Improved - Animated Accessible Backpack" mod, I receive the message and nothing happens. Any suggestion?

How can I make a gun shoot a console command? For ex: silent kill or disable? or is this mod not for that?

Why is there no reminder in the mod itself about which slot has which key? And I have to open the mod descriptions in the browser to do anything. Why couldn't you just rename Slot 1 to Slot 1 Z, etc?
