This SweetFX preset tries to give better sharpness, colours, contrast and a little dose of film grain, to give the game a greater zombie movie atmosphere. To obtain the same results as seen on screenshots, go on Dying Light Nexus (http://www.nexusmods.com/dyinglight/?) and download these two mods:
- Film Grain Begone, to get rid of the ugly ingame film grain (even if you play with 1.4.0 version that adds an option to disable it, a bug reactivates it after each level loading, so this mod fixes that). - Chromatic Aberration Removal v3, to get rid of the awful ingame chromatic aberration.
NOTE: For manual installation (if ReShade Setup.exe is not working properly, I personnaly don't use it because it actually often fails to detect the correct graphics API of games):
- From the ReShade + SweetFX archive, copy the SweetFX folder, Sweet.fx and ReShade64.dll (Dying Light is a DirectX 11 and 64-bit game) to your game installation folder (where DyingLightGame.exe is). - Rename ReShade64.dll to dxgi.dll. - Copy my SweetFX_settings.txt file to the SweetFX folder, you must overwrite the ReShade default one. - Launch the game.
If it works a ReShade popup window must appear, you must see the ReShade version in the top-left corner of your screen and a SweetFX message in the center when the game starts, and obviously a change in the graphics. ;)
