How To Serve Your Fellow Man (whether you want it or not)

I found it very strange that in Civ 6 you can enslave defeated enemies but only if you're playing the Aztec and only with one specific unit. I mean, seriously, the Greeks used slaves so extensively, that Aristotle wrote that the natural family unit is a man, a woman, and at least one slave. And some 80% of the population of Egypt were slaves. Etc.

So now you can use up a military government policy slot to make your ground units turn defeated enemy units into enslaved builders. Note that unfortunately it seems to be hard-coded in the game engine that it doesn't work on barbarians, so you'll have to fight some civilization or city state. I suppose it's to prevent it from being completely overpowered.

IMHO this doesn't really make the Aztecs obsolete, since they get it for free at game start, while everyone else have to use up a military card slot.

It is obsoleted when you research serfdom, so get your slaves while it's still ancient or classical out there.

It works great with all the other mods I've tried it with, and it makes the early turtling much more effective, so there is less need to build up a military fast. It also works the other way, raiding and adding some economy boosts while you're swarming the AI.

Perfect! Does it work in Multiplayer too?
