    I like the idea but damage is terribly low!

      Open XComGameData_WeaponData.ini with a text editing program. Change the damage for whatever you want.

      Actually, considering that the M41A was based off the real-world HK G-11, I'd say low damage is fairly realistic (it's only 4.7mm after all) but it also uses armor piercing and caseless ammunition. So to be realistic it would have less damage than the "stock" rifle, yes, but should also get a free point of Armor Piercing, be a bit more accurate (say +5%) and have a huge magazine capacity - at least 8 bursts in XCOM terms.

      Yea I left everything else the same except the clip sizes modification support. I mean in the movies and video games that thing held a TON of bullets. 99 bullets to be exact. So I upped the clip size to 8 and turned on mod support.

      How exactly did you turned on mod support for the weapon? Simply changing mods from 0 to 6 or whatever does nothing for me. Is there a catch?

      there is no pulserifle in weapondata..where do i edit the rifle!

      In-canon the gun fires 10mm explosive caseless, light armor piercing.   So I'd argue it has an AP of 1, and maybe 5-7 for damage.   And given how it fires.... what?  5?  6 rounds in the single shot, probably a 4 or 6 clip.

    Platoon has been incommunicado for almost 3 months on this and now this mod isn't really working. I have been tweaking it locally and I have the upgrading working and the infinite slots back as well. I modified the INI to give the gun less damage with more ammo, an accuracy bump, and armor pierce (shred at higher tiers). Or should I just put the damage back to the way Platoon had it? Right now I have it at 2-4 AP1 for tier 1, 4-6 AP 1 Shred 1 for tier 2, and 7-9 AP 2 shred for tier 3. All tiers get +5 accuracy and 10% crit as well as 8 ammo. all of this can be changed in the ini. I used a more standard format for everything to be closer to other weapon mods as well. Just need to do a bit more testing and then I can publish a new version, but I don't want to step on Platoon's toes since the bulk of the work/credit goes to Platoon and not to me. I just cleaned it up some and got it working after the changes Firaxis did to things.

    Does anyone have any ideas if it would be cool to post my updated version with credit to Platoon? Not sure on how the community handles things like this.

      I'm not sure how cool it would be for platoon. But it would be cool for me. You could call it RELOADED or UPDATED giving him/her huge credits. If anyone had a problem with it you could always take it down. But seeing as platoon is incommunicado I don't think there would be an issue. Explanations of intentions on discription pages usually go a long way. Also notify him in messaging is about all you can do.
      I know this is probably a dead issue, but I just saw it.

    do i need to start a new game?cant find it its also not in the armory and i put the folder in xcom 2 mods folder

      Did you activate it in the pre-game menu? You don't need to start a new game. It appears in current game.

    I like this one, but i suggest:
    1. Raise the magazine capacity at least up to 5.
    2. Add the grenade launcher ability. Let's say, 2 GL shots, equal to a standard frag grenade in terms of radius and damage, but with a range of a conventional Grenadier's GL.
    3. Add the attachments.
    4. Fix the icon.
    5. Maybe, allow the customisation options.

    I like this weapon, very much, but I change PULSERIFLE_WEAPONCLASS = 'cannon' but still being a "rifle" ¿?
    What is the function of PULSERIFLE_CONVENTIONAL_IPOINTS = 0?
