This is all I get when I try to use it. When I run the exe I get the window to open file and tries to open save file, but his is the only thing happening.

I think I also got the bug where the numbers are multiplied by a thousand, but I'm still confused on where the nests are. One of the nest is located here according to the tool:

    Nopileos' Fortune II: Khaak Nest found at x: -363988,64km, y: -9289,08km, z: -30373,81km (line #10804496)

So that's -363,98km due -x from center? But there was nothing out there. So maybe I'm using the wrong "center".

works great, thanks. I found out that if I get rid of the "Khaak Hives" then the Khaak Nests disappear after the next reload of the save. I think the Nests require Khaak Hives. There is also a mod that prevents new Hives from spawning.

Its a shame the game basically only really supports 2D navigation but then they spawn those nests so far off the ecliptic... How could you even spend so much time searching for them?
I have a nest in Nopileos Fortune 2, which is a huge sector already, 180km down the ecliptic and 500km out of the center. Now i can finally make a stop to those buggers that harras my miners constantly and focus my fleet somewhere else insteat of protecting this huge area...

    Hi there.

Thanks for spending your time on a tool for finding these little buggers -- and sharing it with us :)

I'm getting some rather weird position info out of your tool (4.10, no mods).

?X4 Savegame Analyzer 1.2 ([email protected])

    Hewa's Twin I: Khaak Nest found at x: 235996,51km, y: -4193,6km, z: -304201,66km (line #3984272)
    Heretic's End: Khaak Hive found at x: -365746,66km, y: 11728,38km, z: 155676,98km (line #4078089)
    The Void: Khaak Nest found at x: -407194,98km, y: 5703,51km, z: 343203,65km (line #4553383)
    Open Market: Khaak Hive found at x: 2445,71km, y: 8542,54km, z: -80235,33km (line #4688142)
    Company Regard: Khaak Hive found at x: -42262,38km, y: 10999,97km, z: -34892,06km (line #6523022)
    Matrix #451: Khaak Hive found at x: -30837,4km, y: -881,53km, z: -965,38km (line #8209720)
    Lasting Vengeance: Khaak Hive found at x: 274386,24km, y: 3245,95km, z: -10197,78km (line #11690272)
    Silent Witness XII: Khaak Hive found at x: -34526,83km, y: 0km, z: -17553,95km (line #12963161)
    Black Hole Sun V: Khaak Hive found at x: 2210,09km, y: 1585,81km, z: 472952,58km (line #13147326)
    Family Kritt: Khaak Nest found at x: 407955,17km, y: -6433,79km, z: 7920,68km (line #13280339)

Remember: Khaak Hives are the bigger stations and spawn the smaller Hives.

    Press enter when done.

Just from looking at the numbers, the only correct one seems to be the Y position of the hive in Silent Witness XII, which indeed is zero,as it's right on the ecliptic plane.

I've been at the Silent Witness hive before, and it's about 320km from the accelerator on the other side of the sector. Eyeballed the distance, and I'd say it's about 150km from the sector center in almost a straight line from the accelerator (-X/+Z quadrant), while your tool's numbers place it around 30000km from the sector center, far into the -X/-Z quadrant.

I'd be glad, if you could have a look at that.

Yeah there's definitely an issue with locales that are non-NA, having things multiplied by 1000. So the numbers are accurate if you divide them by a thousand - I'll take a look when I get the time!

Thanks for having a look. Indeed, my first notion was to put that rather unusual display of coordinates on .NET l8n, but then I managed to confuse myself over checking the Hive in Silent Witness,

While I don't mind the Kha'ak trying to make a dent into my L miners (and failing miserably), removing the Hives for profits, pilot training or just to help out other factions is a chore, as the AI targeting system fails rather abysmal at hitting the complex structures. With things getting even worse, if I'm not around, and the attackers being in low attention mode.

If on top of that, I'd have to manually search for Hives and Nests, with the Nests being pretty hard to spot from afar, I'd probably cave in, as so often with previous X4 saves, and start modding my game.

Your tool really helps ease that chore. Again, thanks for sharing :)

Does this also include DLC systems? Getting 2 entries coming up as coding lines.

A lot of sectors aren't getting displayed for me.  40 (Second Contact 7), 48, 419, 04 (Nopileos' Fortune 2), and 01 for me.

    Still quite handy, though!

P.S.  I think you can figure them out via this topic's method: https://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=405480

Thanks, I bulk-imported a list that is clearly complete. I'll make sure to include these in the next update!

Great!  One other thing - I think you might still have the file open after you've displayed everything.  I tried leaving the window open and couldn't overwrite my quicksave file.  Once I closed it, the save worked fine.

Good catch, I've pushed a new release to fix both issues - X4SGA-1.1.zip
