Changelogs
Version 1.10
Added the ability to use the spacesuit scanner directly from the pod to claim abandoned ships.
Improved AI: pods now use boost drive, stay away from enemies and dock much faster. Pilots prefer to dock at stations, but can also choose M, L and XL ships that are not in fight.
Pods send an emergency notification if they can't find a suitable destination. You can order them to dock at the station manually or send a ship to the sector.
Pods that run out of oxygen will self-destruct.
Added logbook entry when a pod is destroyed or self-destructed.
Added roman numerals to pod names if more than one is available for a ship.
New option to show/hide pods from radar and map.
New option to temporary disable the mod, if you want to test new emergency eject feature or for easy uninstallation.
Version 1.09
Removed the ability to get up in the pod as there is no room inside (was only present in version 3.x)
Little tweak for the cutscene
Version 1.08
Reworked cutscene. It is now more cinematic and smooth.
Improved boost drive to increase chances against beam emitters and missiles.
Version 1.07
Crew on all player-owned ships now also use escape pods. The number of survivors depends on the skills and morale of each person.
NPC piloted pods will dock at player-owned and friendly stations, as well as player-owned auxiliary ships and carriers.
Added options menu for the mod (English only for now, requires SirNukes Mod Support APIs).
Improved logbook entries (support multi-language)
Many small improvements and fixes.
Version 1.06
The 3 crew members, including the pilot, also move into the pod with the player.
The rescued crew members will be automatically reassigned to player owned ships that have free space. Added log entry with information about rescued and reassigned people.
Changed initial trajectory of the pod. Now it is oriented according to the pod dockingbay (which can be located at the bottom on some ships).
Added sound effect for pod ejection
Bunch of code fixes
Version 1.05
Additional bugfix
Version 1.04
Fixed destruction detection not working in hazardous regions
Fixed explosion not triggering properly
Version 1.03
Adjusted pod specs: reduced hull, but improved boost and travel drives to better reflect the main purpose and capabilities.
Nearby missiles fired at the player's ship now detonate when the ship explodes. This is intended to prevent the pod being swarmed by missiles right after the launch.
The engine flame effect now perfectly matches the engines.
Fixed the pod not starting to boost sometimes
