Had "x4_python_host; winpipe.open_pipe error reason: access denied by OS" problem. Creating a new local user in windows helped. Credit to Insigar Kayen who found this solution.
An easy way to get the pipe server and x4 to launch simultaneously.
1. Download "X4_Python_Pipe_Server.exe" and place it in the \X4 Foundations folder with the "X4.exe" file. https://github.com/bvbohnen/x4-projects/releases/download/v1.12/sn_x4_python_pipe_server_exe_v1.4.2.zip 2. Create a txt file in the same \X4 Foundations folder and name it: x4 Foundations.txt (It can be named anything). 3. In the x4Foundations.txt file copy paste the following. @echo off setlocal cd /d %~dp0 start X4_Python_Pipe_Server.exe timeout 3 start X4.exe exit4. Rename x4Foundations.txt to: x4Foundations.bat 5. Create a short cut to x4Foundations.bat and place it on your desktop, or startmenu. 6. Use this short cut to launch the game.
There is a 3 second delay in launching x4 foundations to ensure the pipe server is running. If you are using launch options replace: start X4.exeWith (<Location of steam.exe>\steam.exe) "<Location of steam>\steam.exe" -applaunch "392160" <Insert launch options here> EG "D:\Steam\steam.exe" -applaunch "392160" -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -high EG2 "D:\Steam\steam.exe" -applaunch "392160" -debug all -logfile x4debug.log

edit: Edit: 6.2...not 6.0. Main bug is with Kurtree's UI and it needs 6.2
I have version 6.20. Installed via vortex and manually, no menu. Does not work(

(I am the author of the UI Extensions (UIX) mod and most, if not all my mods, use UIX and MSAPIs. And I have no problems with this version of MSAPIs.)
