Not sure if it was intended, but if you have mission to bring someone to the station you are hacking (pilots, engineers, marines, etc.) it is possible to use "transfer" action after hack, without, actually, transfering anyone.
It's like you have mission to bring someone to station, and when you hack computer in addition to "browse" for additional mission - there is "transfer" button too. And if you use it, you like complete single crewmember transfer, but since you were not talking to someone specific (as you are still in post hacking menu) - transfer completes but you don't actually transfer anyone. Still mission objective updates/completes.
Truth be told I am not sure it's related to yours specific mod anymore, since when I was doing some testing with newly installed "cheating tool" it appears that this transfer button appears in there too (though grayed out, since I was not on required station atm perhaps). Hence it's probably either related to conversation menu mod or base quest itself, that adds this button to any possible conversation menu.
The issue is actually your mod, kuertee. I disabled "kuertee UI: Accept mission for later" (6.0.002) and buttons returned to their normal behaviors. The buttons affected were those provided by this mod, from NPC Reactions and from the map without using the right-click menu.
yeah, that's weird, 'coz Accept Mission For Later mod works in my game. I tested it just yesterday when I read your comment. Sorry for the delay. Got busy in RL and my month off modding became 2 months.
Thank you! I ended up having to disable and reenable this mod a couple of times, particularly during the "Stranded" game start due to this issue affecting one of the missions during the Empyrean Curs plot. Great job.
Yeah, something must have changed in 5.1 that prevented the mod from working. And new mods got in the way (citizenships, emergent missions, kuda, etc.) and I didn't bother rechecking this one for 5.1 (even with the bug reports about it). Sorry about that.
Updates: v5.1.0305, 15 Sep 2022: -Bug-fix: Long-time bug that prevented you from logging off the hacked panel - which basically locked you out of the game.
yes, it works on 5.0. but there is a report that it's not compatible with one of the missions of the new DLC. i'll look into it after my current tasks of looking at my other mods for the new DLC.
no. hacking occurs as normal when you click on the panel. then a menu comes up that allows you to "browse for files" - which would result in a generic mission.
Updates: v4.2.02, 16 Dec 2021: -New feature: Crime has consequences support: Hacking the security panel allows you to release any impounded ships on the station.
Update: ======= v2.0.1, 23 Mar 2021: -Bug-fix: When trying to report your crimes, stations were incorrectly getting flagged as being hacked in the first hour of play - and therefore cannot report your crime. In regards to my other mod, Crime has consequences, this prevents any crime from being reported against you in the first hour of play.
v2.0.0, 11 Mar 2021: -New feature: updated for v4.0.0 beta 11 of the base game. -Tweaks: Cleaned-up unnecessary localisation files. Rewrote content.xml manifest file.

v6.1.001, 28 Jun 2023:
-Bug-fix: Prevent finding lockbox mission from producing errors in the log.
1. hire personnel
2. hack a computer
3. transfer them to their mission destination
4. the transfer doesn't actually happen?
can you describe the actual steps, if you remember, that made this bug happen?

I want to be able to disable turrets or stop production of my trade competition
