I would also love lite version. New sectors and factions... i don't need spawning, don't like idea of removing PHQ plot and spawning it somewhere god knows where.
Yes, the mod is completely unplayable with this really stupid fleets that just keep spawning under my control. I got tired of sending them into oblivion where they belong.
...lite version that only adds new sectors and factions and removes the insane player owned ship spawning. I'm not interested in commanding ghost fleets comprised on 10% freighters that come out of nowhere and blast everything nearby causing me to loose notoriety due to friendly fire.
Usually, when i attack a sector i use a single battleship to do it first and if i notice can't do it surgical strike style, only THEN i begin assembling a fleet. You can imagine my surprise when 2 full wings appear out of nowhere 30 min distance between them and start blasting the whole place up. Only thing i could think of was "This is just stupid". If and when i decide that i want to attack with a full fleet force then i should be the one to make that decision, not have a script magically spawn in a random assortment of ships just because... Therefore, pls remove that sht. Or at least make it optional somehow. Thanks in advance.
A temporary fix that sets all spawned fleets previously intended for the player to be owned by meditech instead. I tried editing the 'Master_Spawn_Tracker' of course, but saying that it's a convoluted mess would be an understatement. Many spawn cues are quoted out and i didn't know what would happen if i quoted out the ones that were left, witch is why i decided to just turn the player intended fleets over to meditech instead. And in order to manage the extra enemies that i've just made for myself i modded the Sucellus battleship (by jenny1234) into a veritable missile platform (smart missiles work best) and proceeded to remove the unwanted ships from the game the old fashion way. They only spawn twice as far as i've been able to notice and that only leaves the small issue of having to deal with them when they do.
Can't help but worry about what would happen if all the quoted cues are enabled tho. Many of witch have downright fckin' terrifying descriptions (Meditech Player Hunt, Xenon HQ Player Hunt and so on). Also, the mod author has to realize this mod sets the game requirements way above recommended settings (have about recommended reqs myself and the game starts to lag when ships begin spawning in) thus a lil' bit of heads up should be made available on the mod main page (something like "No Potato PC's ALLOWED" perhaps).
