Give em a million hp. Keep em indestructable while station hull >0%. If the defenders drive off the attackers, the station hull hp repairs and the storage becomes invulnerable again (but the storage HP never repairs).
So... I actually anticipated that allowing my station build storage to be destroyed would probably bug that station. I was only going to use it briefly because one of my patrolling ships is stuck on the build storage for a destroyed Hatikvah Free League station. It keeps endlessly attacking the thing, and every few seconds I get a notification that I've temporarily lost reputation with it. I'm about ready to scream. I was going to use the mod briefly to let the Behemoth finally finish the darn thing off, and then uninstall it.
But since you've removed the files... NOW what am I supposed to do?
Edit: Another comment further down gave me an idea. Why not make a mod that automatically destroys build storage when the attached station is destroyed? And reroactively destroys all build storages whose stations have been destroyed already. For those of us whose ships are already leaving our sectors uncovered because they're all busy attacking an indestructible build storage...
WARNING I've removed the files for this mod. Making the build storage destructible will cause issues for your stations if your station build storage is destroyed. So until a fix can be determined, you should not use this mod. We will have to wait for the modding community to come up with a solution or for the devs to fix this.
Please remove this mod if you have it installed ASAP to avoid bugged stations!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry for the issue. This mod was copied from another mod and that developer found out recently this change can cause bugged stations and game crashes if this mod is used, but only if your station build storage is destroyed. If you remove the mod before your build storage is destroyed you shouldn't have any issues.
Also, if you have a bugged station (one without a build storage) you can just destroy the station with ships or let it be destroyed and your save will be OK. Just don't try and edit the build or view the logical overview for that station or your game will probably crash.

Is there any way to make buildings health integrated into the main structure hull? I'm not a huge fan of having to destroy every individual structure one by one. Also, when a structure is under construction, more often than not it will be invisible, thus forcing you to spray fire allover the place until you find it. It's stupid.
I was wondering if there is a way to perhaps integrate individual building hull into the main structure (or at least those not fully constructed yet) and perhaps revert to the old x3 formula where it didn't matter how big was a structure or how many smaller ones were attached, if you shoot one of them then the rest take damage as well. I like it simple and easy to understand like that (opposed to having to fire allover the place until you find invisible buildings).
Ah ok very good. But what would happen if one of my statons storage gets destroyed but not my station? when i try to do some more construction in my stations would the storage be rebuild?
I'm not sure. You'd have to test it. The author of the original mod I got this from didn't know either. I would think if you make a module change to the station the builder will reinstall the build storage. But I haven't tested it.
