Overview Since the original author is currently inactive and the APIs are licensed under MIT, I have uploaded the latest community release of the APIs. This project has been shaped by the efforts of SirNukes, bvbohnen, Chryssie, iomatix, and now I will do my best to keep it updated with stable releases of X4.
Bug Reports & Contributions I understand how important stability and functionality are for our community, so please report all bugs either on this repository or here on Nexus Mods. I will do my best to fix issues as quickly as possible, depending on my availability. If you encounter any problems, feel free to submit a report, and I’ll prioritize fixes when I have time. Your feedback helps improve the APIs for everyone! Additionally, contributions are highly appreciated, so if you want to help keep things up to date, feel free to fork the project and contribute. GitHub Repository & Updates Given that the APIs are licensed under MIT, I have uploaded the latest community release to keep the project accessible and evolving. This fork is available on GitHub: iomatix/x4-projects. From now on, I will strive to keep the APIs up to date with new stable releases of X4, ensuring compatibility and improvements for modders.
I've noticed that the mod tries to sync with steam workshop and at this case the old version may overwrite the community edition. I could change the mod ID but that would break all dependencies and turned off all mods based on the SirNukes branch.
Please, make sure you uninstalled steam version of the APIs first, before installing CC edition. Steam version may overwrite CC version of the mod if it was not an installed cleanly.
To use this version and properly test it out, please turn off steam workshop synchronisation in your game options!
I really appreciate all your feedback and bug reports, but I’ve noticed some issues being falsely flagged while users are still running outdated versions instead of the Community Edition (CC).
Before posting a bug report or comment, please take a moment to check your mod version in-game. Having the latest, up-to-date version ensures you’re actually testing the mod properly! ✅
If this keeps happening, I'll kindly ask for screenshots of your mod settings showing the mod name and version number before taking action on reports.
Your help in keeping reports accurate really makes a difference thank you! 😃
IF YOU'RE EXPERIENCING ISSUES, YOU MIGHT HAVE THE STEAM VERSION INSTEAD OF THE CC ONE
Check it out, please! But probably don't - it needs Pipe API which has not been updated yet. Probably old release won't work with 7.5 but it needs testing for being sure
nah, they didn't work. i had sn's external pipe server running.
to be more precise, the custom hotkeys didn't get listed in the base game's settings > general key binding menu. they used to be configurable in that menu.
Did you build it using Python libraries above version 7.5? For me, the Pipe server couldn't connect to the game - but I tried it late at night sooo.... qwq
First of all: Thank you very much! That gives hope, as the Mod Support Api is a prerequisite for many mods. But the most important question for me is: Is there also work being done to restore the hotkey functionality (in cooperation with the “x4_external_app.exe”)?
Yes, but for now I'd like to focus on Mods APIs, because it needs more work, that's why I need reports about bugs and features that ain't working currently. (I don't have that much time to test things currently qwq)
Thank you so much! It has been a huge loss to not have all the hotkeys I mapped to my peripheral equipment. Good luck on the process when you get to it!
This weekend*, I'm too tired after work today. However, once the Pipe API is fixed, I'd like to jump straight into checking the next mods from Sir Nuke's repo -> but I wonder which one you'd like to get working first?
my issue because i come to this mod. the right click orders where gone AND i couldn't form a fleet.. sadly the new api from your mod isnt working with "urged orders".
so the solution with the old api ist to turn protected mod off
the old Sir api from the steam workshop + UI Extensions and HUD for nexus. https://www.nexusmods.com/x4foundations/mods/552?tab=description
now i can form fleets again and have the urgend orders orders:) also working.
SirNukes' latest has issues with right click menus and requires Kuertee's UIX to stabilise it - is this already adressed in this version? If you need more details I can do some digging on Reemergence's Discord to find more specifics on it and open a proper bug report.
I haven't tested it yet. I'm currently working on a second mod that adds compatibility for RoR + Reemergence + TS, ensuring all conflicts are removed. Instead of connecting already existing offline gates, I spawn new gates within modded sectors, keeping compatibility intact. (This way, the only necessary adjustment after changes by the original mod authors would be repositioning RoR sectors on the map in this mod.)
Please check if the Right Button stuff is working. There was an issue related to protected UI mode in version 7.5, which has been addressed.

I've confirmed that the UrgentOrders natively works (CLICK ME) with Mod Support APIs Community Edition,
all without UI Extensions or HUD installed
Make sure you have the valid, up-to-date modification
turned ON in your game settings ✅

the same with me
(You may try to experiment with those modes and see if it fixes anything)
Make sure that the valid, up-to-date modification is turned ON in your game settings.
The extensions settings should be available in-game.
Do you use UNIX-based OS, perhaps?
Are hotkeys working? gonna test.
