Completely overhauls the game map by adding ~75 new sectors, new ship variants, new jobs and the return of OTAS (faction) with unique equipment, ships and variants. New sectors are all returning X3 sectors or new additions. The mod is fully voiced with the use of an AI.

X4:Reemergence is an attempt to expand X4 in a meaningful way by reintroducing sectors from X3, reshaping the galaxy map, and adding in a new faction: OTAS. Reemergence is built specifically for VRO and balanced around it.

Reemergence's major content:


  • Over 80 sectors, with custom-made backgrounds and content
  • A new faction (OTAS), with unique ships and equipment
  • Reworked Xenon jobs (slight buff to offensive power and major buff to defensive capabilities in the form of Reclaimer units). Xenon WILL be more difficult to deal with. You have been warned.
  • Several new Xenon ships
  • Khaak can own sectors and are a bigger force in the universe (WIP)
  • New types of ships for all playable factions: S bombers, L carriers, TM carriers, & M7M Missile Frigates (WIP)
  • Additional ships to fill out the lackluster rosters (WIP)
  • Additional weapons with unique usecases (example: bombs, anti-fighter rapid fire L beams)
  • Rework of VIG jobs - VIG will now field slightly more Barbarossas, but much less fighters. Expect more realistic VIG faction strength (they are just pirates, after all) and better game performance


Reemergence Expansions:

  • Skull & Bones - Variety of pirate-owned (SCA, FAF and Yaki) ships has been diversified and a few new, pirate-unique models have been added.
    The goal is to build up on Plundering & Boarding mechanics of the game - players will have opportunities to "liberate" different ships from the outlaws, including their (new) flagship
  • (WIP) ATF/Intervention expansion
  • (WIP) second custom faction expansion (involving Terran Cruisers' content)
