About this mod

A Reshade preset that aims to fix in-game texture blur, as well as broken and reversed sharpening, while improving lighting effects.

Permissions and credits
Pros:

1. The goal is to remove the blur effect in the game while adding more details to the textures.
2. Works and looks great with vanilla lighting, as well as any Lighting mod I've tested, but this Reshade was primarily made to be used and further improves the lighting effects from the wonderful Better Vanilla Lighting Changes and Filterless Toussaint mods.
3. Suits both DX11 and DX12.
4. (Bonus) I also use this Reshade preset in Cyberpunk 2077 in combination with Nova LUT so you may give it a try :)

Cons:

1. ~10 fps penalty which may not suit very well people with weaker GPUs.
The Reshade preset contains 14 shaders, so you can always play around and disable some shaders in order to achieve the sweet spot between visual and performance but I highly advice you to always keep active the following shaders

LocalContrastCS.fx
CAS.fx
LumaSharpen.fx
PD80_05_Sharpening.fx

as these are the most responsible for what this Reshade preset is all about

How to install:

1. Download Part 1 - ReShade Preset and extract its content to the main game's directory.
This will add Teamy's Reshade.ini in both TW3 directory/bin/x64 and TW3 directory/bin/x64_dx12
2. Download the latest version of ReShade and run it:
- Choose your game version (DX11 or DX12)
- Choose DirectX 10/11/12
- Below find the path to Teamy's Reshade.ini located inside TW3 directory/bin/x64 and/or TW3 directory/bin/x64_dx12 depending on the game
version you've choose on the start
- Install Reshade
If you want this Reshade preset for DX11 and DX12, you have to run Reshade twice by choosing one game version at a time.
3. Download Part 2 - ReShade.ini, extract its content to the main game's directory and replace the files when the message prompts.
4. Enjoy

!!!IMPORTANT!!!

In case you use any FSR3 mod such as DLSS Enabler do the following steps:

1. Uninstall the FSR3 mod and install ReShade first following the steps from above
2. Go inside TW3 directory/bin/x64_dx12 and rename dxgi.dll to d3d12.dll (only for DX12 version of the game)
3. Install your FSR3 mod again
4. Enjoy

How to uninstall:

1. Go inside TW3 directory/bin/x64 and/or TW3 directory/bin/x64_dx12 and delete

reshade-shaders folder
dxgi.dll or d3d12.dll
ReShade.ini
Teamy's Reshade.ini

ReShade.log and Reshade Preset.ini (in case you have some of these files)

Additional Settings:

1. In-game set Sharpening to Off.
2. In case you have any additional Sharpening effects applied from Nvidia/AMD Control Panel, you may want to disable them for The Witcher 3 otherwise it may get too over-sharpened. All in all, play around to see what would suit you the best. :)
