Hello my witchers of all schools (that includes even you, school of the cat) 😁 The file got quarantined, and it's happened every time I've uploaded a file, which is a shame. Anyway, I finally got a response from the support team (which was much faster than expected) regarding approval of the file.
Also get back to me if you experience any problems with the mod, and I will try to fix when if time permits. As I've mentioned before, I have zero IT/Programming skills, so please be patient. I have little to no time off the next few weeks, but i will try to fix any weirdness or issues that you may have in due time.
Please support REAL/ACTUAL modders (NOT ME), if you can or have the opportunity to do so.
As always, i hope you ENJOY my mod and good luck on the Path!
Hello, I have played about 20 hours on this mod. with all 3 together and here is my takeaway. Wonderful idea and I enjoyed many parts. however...I would stick to just removing trees and placing the new ones. the tall looked and felt great. the ground textures were desired and looked poor. I would also leave the fog and atmosphere alone. a version with just trees and nothing else would gather much more attention and support. overall 7/10 if you just ignore some textures here and there. Thank you !
Cool mod idea, sadly trees are very important for making the game look good in this engine, game is simply flat without them. Cant wait for version with trees.
this is on my to do list. will get to it in due time! also do let me know what else you like to have. keep in mind, nothing to complex (bc im not an actual "moder-author")
adding more Trees than vanilla (careful to not block the player) add more rocks, add more foliage near water in general just add more things (i would advise not adding collisions for small things like rocks so movement isnt broken). HD revorked project makes textures high definition, but still the ground isnt paralaxed so adding extra depth by adding rocks trees, bushes is what the game need to look "next gen" (because i think its imposibble to make paralax ground textures - i mean there is mod that does it for novigrad but it takes like 60% fps just for cobble(there is an chance that its because novigrad already overloads the engine and the mod just overloads it even more and in velen it wouldnt have that big impact)
Are you working on a version with more trees? Not exactly vanilla IMO, but just a bit less. It also messes up the hanged man tree and the people are hanging from the air.
yeah, working on a completly new version. not alot free time as i hoped. But im hoping i get to finish in a few days/week. Its very different in many ways (unfortunatly, in this new verion, i have remove (accidently) hanged-mans tree completly, but i added/replaced something else which i think is much cooler).
im not sure, but try it. i dont think is should have any conflicts. but try the mod and if it does conflict use script-merger (you can always delete the mod if it crashes your game).
A question, is it possible to make the LoD (Draw Distance) far higher then it currently is? With original LoD, objects & shadows pop up frequently which ruins the immersive of the game too much in my opinion :(
you are very welcome, ONE of the entire point of this mod is to have the eliminate pop-in/pop-outs. I do not have this issue. thats why i reccomend STRONGLY that you download Tweaks -by TookaFace and max out the everything (but its gonna cost you a few FPS 😉)
I have used it, but he only removed the model and did not remove the shadows and collision volume. He still needs to use other mods to help him improve it
3. Start up the game, in under option -> video -> graphics scroll down and set both options to 0.
NOTE: you need to set FoliageShadowBillboardDistanceScale to "0" AFTER you start the game (otherwise you will get weird pop-ins when you get to close to the trees unfortunatly)
(Or just enbale ray-tracing, if its possible, the no-tree mod will you give an FPS-boost).

but while your waiting, why no try using this mod no-trees
1. Open the "graphics.xml" file (location: "C:\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\graphics.xml"
2. Edit the following lines:
