It's such a simple mod, and the game has been out for so long, that I wasn't expecting so many people to want this. I just made the mod for myself and decided to publish it because why not. But I'm glad I other people are enjoying it, too!
I've found a way to make blood and steel working like this You need to edit the file "animationSystem", which is located in "The Witcher 3\mods\modBloodAndSteel\content\scripts\local" Search these lines
If you don't like, taking jump spin for example, you can replace every "fast_far_forward_1_rp" line with other lines. Besides, if you do so, this mod is not needed to make it work. Still, I gain this method by looking through the combatsword.ws given by Stamp. Lot thanks.
mods like this prove how close to perfection the game actually was. with some tiny but well thought out alterations like this.... absolute banger. and less beyblade is always good
So this is an alternative to enhanced combat animations, difference being this only removes vanilla animations while adding nothing new and improving consistency at the cost of some movement repetitiveness I suppose?Seems like just what I’d want!
This mod could really use a showcase video. I also wonder if it would conflict with the "Roll-in Attack" mod https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2005
The Alt. version doesn't conflict at all, your mod simply works "over" it. Also, this s#*! is FIRE, been looking for smth like that for a while. I could make some vid recordings for the showcase if you'd like, but I've never edited a video
Ah, yes. It won't break anything. What I mean by "conflict" is just that one will overwrite the other. We're both touching the exact same lines of code, and this mod is touching even more. But it definitely won't break anything. You just gotta choose which modifications you want more, and give that mod higher load priority.
Nice to hear you're enjoying it!
I don't really think we need a video, but if anyone wants to make one I'd be happy to have it on the page.
This mod does not change or add any animations, it just takes some of them away and swaps some of them around. It doesn't change any dodges in any way.
But it does make the game easier, because now you can more easily predict what Geralt is going to do. Not having control over what my character does in an action game is not really my idea of a fun challenge.
In future, when you're making a mod for Classic 1.32, I suggest you put "Classic Edition" on the title, and the tag "Next Gen Incompatible", so people won't use it on Next Gen. Check also the Next Gen Changelog so you're sure it's Next Gen compatible or not.
The mod guide provide by Wasted Ghost is outdated, was made for Classic 1.32. I suggest The Tome of Witcher 3 Modding which is up for Next Gen version.
By the way, I see you wrote Recommended Mods. Could you please point Brothers In Arms for both Classic and Next Gen? Like you did for Friendly Hud and so on.

You need to disable "Attack animations and logic" in BaS settings, otherwise this mod wont have any effect.
You need to edit the file "animationSystem", which is located in "The Witcher 3\mods\modBloodAndSteel\content\scripts\local"
Search these lines
fast_far_forward_1_rp (geralt jump spin animation)
fast_far_left_1_rp (Roll and stab)
fast_far_right_1_rp (Half-spin)
If you don't like, taking jump spin for example, you can replace every "fast_far_forward_1_rp" line with other lines.
Besides, if you do so, this mod is not needed to make it work. Still, I gain this method by looking through the combatsword.ws given by Stamp.
Lot thanks.
Both mods have the same idea but this one does a lot of other stuff too.

Thought you've received a notification or smth, but anyway, here it is:
I didn't received any notifications, no.
That's a very nice video. Very good work!
I added it to the "videos" tab.
But it does make the game easier, because now you can more easily predict what Geralt is going to do. Not having control over what my character does in an action game is not really my idea of a fun challenge.
Thank you for all you're doing for this modding community! Your comments on other mod pages have helped me a lot. lol
My bad, oversight on my part.
Thanks for the correction!
