As I noticed, people like myself that are playing on the latest Next Gen version have problems with this mod and it simply doesn't work, so I have found an easy solution for it and have replaced the textures in the Killing Monsters Cloak DLC and repacked them.
>>>INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS<<< 1.Download the latest Killing Monsters Cloak and install it exactly like described on the mod page and/or the README file. 2.Don't know if you will need the Hoods mod (I'm using it BTW) so for safety install it if this DLC wouldn't work. Here's the Hoods LINK. 3.After everything is successfully installed delete the Killing Monsters Cloak DLC folder from your Witcher 3 DLC folders directory. 4.Extract the provided dlc_KillingMonstersCloak folder into your Witcher 3 DLC folder directory. 5.Also if you want to hide your weapons install the updated eNoodles's AHW for Cloaks mod by TheMenxceX. 5.DONE! Play and have fun using geraltofriverside's Wiedźmin Cloak.
Here are some screenshots that are showing everything is working as it should be. Tested on the GOG's latest game version which is 4.04.
Huge thanks for giving a solution for this mod not working on next-gen versions. I'm just wondering while testing this mod, can you toggle the hood down? Thank you.
You're welcome. Yup, you can but you need to bind the keys correctly like it's written in the KMC and Hoods descriptions/readme files. I have forgotten to put a screenshot while the hood is off. Will do it as soon as I get back home and on my PC and upload a pic.
EDIT: Here are another 2 pics with Hood On/Off
@frztdmn No probs, you're welcome. To your question, I'm using the xTcModKit 4.1 and sometimes the 5.0 Beta Version and WolvenKit 7.2.0.0 NextGen Version for bundles. It depends what I need to do, for fast unpacking/repacking xTcModKit (mostly for xml files etc.) and for texture modding WolvenKit. Here are the links: xTcModKit WolvenKit
@hieubin28 In step 3 I meaned the original Killing Monsters Cloak DLC folder and the one in step 4 dlc_KillingMonstersCloak is the one with the Wiedzmin Cloak Mod which you have to download from the link that I have provided.
Thank you, brother, for sharing your solution. By the way, could you tell me where to find a program that unpacks and repacks bundle files and works on next-gen platforms? I’ve been learning modding, but I can’t continue because the versions of WolvenKit I’ve come across are outdated
step 3 and 4 are kinda confusing. In step 3 you said to delete the dlc killing monster cloak but then in step 4 you said to extract the folder with the same name in step 3. And i don't see any guide to install this wiedzmin mod in your instruction. Sorry for not understanding you but I am trying to get this to work because I love this re-textture.
well first of all I thank geraltofriverside for this great mod.
I have seen that some people want to use the mod together with the hood mod either for convenience or because they do not know how to install the Killing Monsters Cloak mod in next gen.I took the liberty of modifying the Hoods mod to include by default the texture of its mod in the cape that comes in the DLChoods
>>>INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS<<< 1.download and install the mod hoods for next gen 2.download and unzip my fileWIedzmin cape dlc hoods 3.take the dlc_hoods file (which comes in the previously downloaded file) and put it in the DLC folder of your game manually and replace the already existing file 4.enjoy it the cape is bought from the griffo merchant
I have only tested this solution on next gen. I don't know if it also works on old gen. Let me know if so.
@RaysuSama Good job mate! Thanks to you, now ppl here have another great option to use geraltofriverside's wonderful work. TBH I wanted to go the same route you have gone and include the new cloak in the Hoods mod but instead decided to go the shorter and easier way by just replacing the textures in the Killing Monsters Cloak DLC, probabily because I noticed that I already edited the Hoods textures and replaced one of them with the Invisibility Cloak DLC one. Didn't thought, that many have problems installing it on Next Gen. Anyway it's always better to have more options to choose from. Thank you for your implementation to the Hoods mod.
is there a way to make it work on hoods classic? cause i wanted to use killing monsters cloak but its incompatible with vladmir ui and i dont want to uninstall vlad ui
thx Yes and I think the killing clock mod has problems with W3EE or at least I was never able to install it. and as a W3EE REDUX user, any mod that has scripts involved is a nightmare for me to install XD
modmasters I think so, but you would have to take the texture.cache file and put it in the dlc_hoods folder. Try it, honestly. I don't have that mod installed, but it should work.
Once again big thanks for your great work geraltofriverside. The updated cloak looks even better than the original and the new cape is just amazing.
>>>UPDATE FOR NEXT GEN 4.04<<< Updated the KMC with the Wiedźmin Cloak's updated textures. Installation instructions are exactly the same as in my earlier post, so download and install the original Killing Monsters Cloak, than replace the dlc_KillingMonstersCloak folder located in your Witcher 3 DLC installation directory folder with the one I have provided.
For the new Wiedźmin Cape installation is exactly the same, install original Hoods mod and replace the dlc__Hoods with the one from me. The Cape works as a replacer for the NPC Cape and Ornated NPC Cape. Also I've changed the item names in the Polish and English w3strings so now if you buy/use/wear them, than proper names will be displayed, so instead NPC Cape it will be Wolf Cape and Ornated Wolf Cape.
Made it as an additional mod that REQUIRES to download OG Wiedzmin Cloak mod first. Without any links to external GDrives etc. With appropriate DP share as well.
Is it only allow 1 texture appearance for the cloak in the game? cuz I've got ikillsoftlys Killing Monsters - Half a Year , and I want this WIEDZMIN CLOAKS too. so I download this mod as well and install it on the mods folder but no appearance for WIEDZMIN CLOAKS. How to make it work?
Above there is a next gen version uploaded by someone else using the Killing Monsters Cloak mod. and I also made a version for the hoods mod for next gen
The posts above are from modder szogo87 and also from mod author RaysuSama. They explain in detail what needs to be done and provide download links. Scroll up. I am very grateful for their help!

im on classic version and like many others the KMC texture just does not work, i followed the comments and tried the fixes, tried the older versions of both this mod and KMC, checked priorities, it made no difference, i even tried renaming the mod with an underscore, i do have hoods installed but i doubt thats the issue since its required for KMC
thats precisely the issue, i do have KMC installed but your mod isnt working, do u have any other idea? cuz i dont have any other texture mods for KMC. idk if its supposed to work only when you toggle KMC or could it be a dlc thing? based on the comments it seems like a consistent issue, if you could look into it and find the culprit cuz i think i tried everything, even remerging KMC and Hoods and giving your mod priority

So I Did everything in the instructions by szogo87 and the game is running fine and launching fine but the problem is that the cloaks remain the plain brown color in the original. EXP I installed the wolf cape but on only the bottom and the wolf logo shows the plain brown is still there Someone Help.
I have the same problem , did everything as instructed but the km cloak we buy from white orchard merchant still remains the brown color and i tried dyeing it black and it just changed into plain black cloak , doesn't have the texture of the mod , did you find any fix ? if so, please provide assistance to me as well.

It enables Killing Monsters Cloak from the Hoods to be re-textured as well.

for the Cloaks you will the one from the KMCLOAK mod not the one from hoods. They might look the same but the Cloak Retexture is made for KM Cloak mod
