About this mod

The default camera in the game is stuck pretty tight to your character's position and immediately responds to tiny movements. To get a much more smooth and cinematic feel, with minimal unnecessary movement, the camera in this mod is set up much more loosely in Exploration mode. In combat things (can) get much more dynamic, with several configurable options. Watch the (NEW!) video, it's WAY more clear than this text!
There's a customization menu where you can change several options and choose from 4 camera presets: Close, Medium, Far and Very Far. Options will get changed when changing presets, but you can change this afterwards as you like. The menu is located under: Options > Mods > Camera > Minimalist Camera.
Companion Mod
Minimalist Camera can be used stand alone, but works even better while also using my Minimalist Witcher Senses mod. That mod removes all kinds of unnecessary effects when using Witcher Senses (Focus), and also removes the camera zooming effect. Both mods have been designed to work together, without disturbing each other's camera changes.

Minimalist Camera was originally based on the mod Sleepy Camera by Syynx. Credits to Syynx for having the idea and being the inspiration for making this mod.

Installation
Make the menu visible
You can use the Menu Filelist Updater to make some changes to get the menu to show up properly. Alternatively, you can do this manually:
Insert the line: modMinimalistCamera.xml;
To the files:
If you are 100% sure that you only use DX11 or DX12, you can choose to only modify that file.
Compatibility
The mod changes the following script files:
It's not compatible (by default) with other mods that change the same files, unless you use Script Merger to merge the changes (or merge manually). Note: Vortex includes Script Merger functionality out of the box. Follow the prompts in Vortex, or run it manually.

- Use Vortex (recommended), or another mod manager (untested).
- First install the dependency mod: (Classic and Next Gen Editions) Community Patch - Menu Strings. (This tiny mod makes it possible to locate mod menus in a sub menu under the Mods menu. In this case: Mods > Camera.)
- Second install this mod.
- Or install manually (not recommended): Copy the contents of the modMinimalistCamera.7z file to your [Witcher 3 folder].
- Run Script Merger (already included in Vortex) to check and fix any script conflicts you may have with other mods you use.
