About this mod
The Ancient Gods Legacy is a special creation that bring a Legendary Armor Set to the Witcher world. It also rework Iris and Aerondight. Include some new schematics, a new set of Horsebags, all obtainables throughout completing the game. The relics appeared while a space-time storm and were placed on the path of The Witcher by Destiny.

Consider this a pre-release, it's not the final version of the mod and there is still some improvements to bring but I wanted to give you a sample, because there was a high demand and I wanted to let you try it before truly completing this. However, it is entirely working and very close to the finished product! Many pictures are on the way! I wanted to finally release this for Easter but there's a lot of extra details and informations about the included features of this mod that are going to be written in the description in a near future! Old Gen is coming soon. Happy Easter!
This mod include a unique set of armor and its diagrams, with models that were created by Hellspawn, a legendary creator with immeasurable powers who once made this possible but eventually voided his creations from a special dimension called Nexus, where he used to bring his amazing masterpieces to let other creators and worthy slayers try his exceptional work for the greater good.
He also left this special place and definitively stopped creating these special relics from a different reality after some of his most beloved creations vanished in a inter-dimensional breach. it's the last thing I ever heard from him.
After years of absence of Nexus, we discover a Space-Time Storm was summoned by a certain Cursed Witcher while he spent a lot of time doing experiments in his laboratory to bring back these relics from Void Dimension, he successfully brought them back on Nexus and they were spread as new rewards to whoever would be worthy of obtaining these in the world of The Witcher 3 Complete Edition.
This ancient armor set is the epitome of Geralt's journey. According to the myths, the diagrams could potentially be read by an Arch Master of crafting, since the astral knowledge gained from The Elder Scrolls was lost through space and time, it was extremely rare to meet someone who could comprehend these extraordinary illustrations from mysterious origins. Apparently, the last known craftsman of The Continent who could have the potential to decrypt it would be an exceptionally talented elf living in the Duchy of Toussaint, but this is still yet to confirm.
It was written in these Elder Scrolls that were eventually lost through time, that destiny would've have placed the diagrams on the path of the chosen one, once he would finally reach his full potential and rassemble the clues all together to solve the riddle. Each of them is a piece of the puzzle to reconstruct the unique diagrams of these mythical relics. The scrolls mentionned it was once used in battles to triumph over evil forces and banish them in a portal created to send them in the void. For someone who can find these diagrams, the results of the crafting process would produce an accurate recreation that would grant tremendous powers to its wearer.
It is said that a leader of a certain group of space-time traveller of elfic race stole a part of The Elder scrolls to recreate a scheme with the help of a virtuous, powerful mage to craft his signature mask, once worn by his ancestor from an ancient age. This mask alone made him feared across multiple worlds and granted him exceptional powers, which he used to sow destruction, pain and death in research of an ancient blood that would serve them to save their peers from their fate, these tales were silenced with the vanishing of The Elder scrolls.
The space-time travellers never thought the fate would follow them through dimensions until they went in a hidden cave on an isle in the Archipel of Ard Skellige. A very special place where illusions appear to the intruders, recreating visions of their worst nightmares, in which they saw the apparition of a terrifying slayer wearing a full set of the Ancient Gods Armor. The group would do everything in their power to find a way to save themselves from their Nemesis.
I'm going to be clear, this is lores that surround the origins of this epic equipment set, since it already happened before the events of the quest to which it refers, you will not witness any additional scene of these occurences. These are stories.
The fables suggest this set would be named, after its rumored provenance,

The power of this special set is reportedly unmatched, paired with Aerondight, it would make the chosen one, nearly invincible.
The Ancient Gods Armor Set and it's accessories are such a force of destruction that they are ironically Indestructible.
In the process, the story tell that a mythical Crossbow would be a part of this extraordinary gift,
it's referred as The Witcher Crossbow.
Only an extraordinary warrior with something truly special, would be worthy to wear these relics and make them his own to either save this world from chaos or sink it in the darkness, depending of his choices and motives.
In the rewards, you'll eventually get :
The Monster Slayer Horsebags, something that will definitively help The Witcher to carry his burdens in his adventures.
Don't worry, this very useful accessory isn't going to take decades to find, as long as you're making yourself worthy to obtain it. The fastest rider of the continent would eventually obtain it as a reward for proving he's worthy of using this extraordinary gift. Which will make the user almost unstoppable in the gathering of various finds, each one more interesting than the other.
A schematic to craft Aerondight itself, you can obtain the diagram exactly where you find the extraordinary great sword.
Same for Olgierd's Sabre. A diagram of Iris, you will be able to bring it to the Grand Master Blacksmith so he can craft it.

It ever bothered you that Manticore Armor Set was changed in NG+ playthrough? I included a quite creative solution that allow you to dismantle Legendary Manticore Armor Set into the Original Set of this beautiful armor! You can also convert your old school Manticore Set into a Legendary one if you feel like it. So it gives you the choice between both without removing either. More informations about extra features in the next days.

If you'd like to obtain both Iris and Gaunter O'dimm rewards in a single playthrough, consider Master Mirrors Reward through his riddle challenge from the amazing FreakVip. Just like for his Quest Items - Magical Equip-able Gears, it is recommended to use Witcher Lore Collection by the great MerseyRockoff for the new descriptions of the items included in Ancient Gods Legacy to show up.
In case you would finish the entire game, you might be disappointed to think you could not acquire this entire set without using the debug console, but in fact, once you unlocked the Archmaster tier of Lazare Lafargue, you will be able to find the schematics in his shop, once you reached the required level to get these items, so you won't miss out!
I initially did this because I feared some people would be stuck in the acquiring/crafting process for some parts of The Ancient Gods Armor Set, my goal was to make it as accessible and immersive as possible, despite the fact this armor is terrifyingly powerful. By accessible, I mean it shouldn't and will not require any additionnal mod, console command or cheat to obtain it. I advise you to avoid doing this.

New distinct items, stats, bonuses, recipes, names, descriptions and strings were written in both English and French by myself. There is a w3strings file for every single language in the game, so you will be able to see texts without having to make any extra modification.
I also made entirely new recipes to craft it after a vast treasure hunt throughout The Continent. There is of course, always room for improvement, but I learned a lot with this mod and did my best to restore its glory with what I had.
The major difference from an original creation originally named ''Hemdall Legacy'' is that you now have to earn it to get it, it's no longer obtainable from the first Act of the game, because it's such an incredible set of equipment that I did not want it to spoil the entire assortment of items you can discover across the continent, and appreciate in your adventure. Of course, the debug console exist if anyone want to at least try it. It's not forbidden but not recommended, because I don't want new players to affect their experience with this kind of power if they haven't even found all the best armor sets including The Witcher School Armor Sets of each tiers in their lifetime. This is end game equipment.
Please, take in consideration these items are very special and that most piece of equipment will feel ordinary in comparison. Don't skip the fun of collecting great equipment and the awesome feeling of upgrading step by step because you wanted an easy access to an almighty power that is beyond the initial laws of this universe. Otherwise, it could affect the experience and considerably shorten your journey.
If your advice is to lower the strength of this set, I advise you to play at the highest difficulty, it's a End game armor & weapons set!
