Very good mod, but I found that when you install your mod even if not open, as long as the game to get the buff, it will make auto loot mod notification can not display the problem?
When I was using the auto-scraping module as follows. https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/7198 When I get a BUFF in the game, sometimes the scavenging notification does not show up. When this happens, it will be displayed again only when the BUFF disappears or when the game is reloaded.
I didn't see this problem in my game, I would say a bad merge but AutoLoot doesn't use any functions used by this mod. Anyway, I'll keep an eye on this report.
The biggest reason for the game to crash when using mods is a programming error in a script, especially when merging scripts and something fails. It could also be the lack of something essential in the code or just a conflict between mods.
If there are no code errors in the merge script, try changing the load order of the mods, sometimes it helps.
I installed, ran the .bat file and it cleared out all entries in the dx11 and 12 files and only pastes your mod entry. Fortunately vortex created a backup, so I could restore the other entries. Thought you should know.
Weird, it's not supposed to do that. I tested it again with my mod:
1 - Checks if the string exists in the files, 2 - If the string does not exist add it.
Other mods completely replace the file and make disapear all strings except the mod you install, but not this one. I advise you to check if it is even this mod that does this.
It was the only mod I was installing. Tried it again and it only add the text to the files it points to, nothing else appears. Note this points to AppData folders, not the game install folder.
I had to manually add the .xml file name to the \The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc dx11 and dx12 files, so it would show up in menu.
I'm sure you're not following the instructions because on my part the script is doing exactly what it was programmed to do. You need run the script from the created during install on game root folder, not mod folder or any other folder. Also, this mod has been installed dozens of times without reporting this anomaly. Not to mention other mods I created that use this system, already in place since December 2022, successfully and without changes.
Same happened to me, clears the two files and only leaves your line. And no other mod was installed after repairing the game install. Replaced the originals with the backups I made and ran YOUR bat file again and wiped again. Gotta love modders that naturally assume were all idiots.
There are no arguments against facts. I like to help, but only when it's worth it. This script took some work to create with the intention of making it easier for users to install the mod's Menu. It may be that sometimes it doesn't work as it should for some users, but on my part and on my PC it's working.
Can be hard to achieve, because this trigger use collisions events that it's hard to access. Maybe by the map, but I still need investigate. Anyway it's a complicated matter.
- Entering manually 100500 xml configs is not particularly fun. And when there is such software, then everything becomes much easier. - Changing name is only necessary because Menu Filelist Updater enters names alphabetically, and so your file ends up on top line*. - But even you have written that need to insert at end of line.
*If it does not affect game in any way for worse, then there is no problem and there is no need to change. ☺️

Thanks

Win 11, Steam Version if that helps at all.

Do you think it will be possible to make it so that gear will auto enhance only when in porximity to Grindstone / Armorer's table?
Maybe by the map, but I still need investigate.

AutoEnhanceGearConfig.xml to modAutoEnhanceGearConfig.xml
AND
AutoConsumeFoodConfig.xml to modAutoConsumeFoodConfig.xml
To be used safely with Menu Filelist Updater.
Thank you! ❤️
Sorry for my bad English!
I ask because I don't use this application but I read its documentation and didn't see that reference.
If I now change the name of the XML files then I will have many users who already installed the mod complaining that the menu disappeared.
Of course if that application really needs that file name change, I'll have to do it in a next version.
Thank you.
